Is there any reason to use M110 over MK14
Comparing the rifles, both use the same rounds and attachments - only difference is that the MK14 by default already has 20 rounds - while m110 requires 2 supply points for the same effect.

Essentially the MK110 costs 6 and the MK14 costs 5 with the 20 round mags taken into account making it better in every single way it seems.

They're pretty much the same rifles, except for recoil, full-auto(gotta hate the meta) and standard mag, so I see no reason for using it except for screwing around

I think it depends on how you play the sniper role. i kinda use it as a DMR kinda class where im still pushing/holding the line with teamates and will run medium range optics with switchable ironsights on the MK14 so its good for indoors. But if you like to play more ranged i heard the MK110 is better.

For both there isn't much of a difference, only that you can switch to full auto with the MK14 which CAN be an advantage at close to medium range or you just want to spray a little in CQB.

Don't differentiate between DMR and Sniper rifles in this game, both including assault rifles can be used to cover the whole entire map easily and both do the same good job at it, it's all about the scopes in this game and pretty much the bullet speed (which is fast enough with the MK14).

An other thing I noticed is, when I play MK110 and MK14 in semi fire and tap as fast as I can, the MK110 wont allow me to fire as fast as the MK14. Maybe this is just me, but this is how it feels.

If you go with the MK14, you can certainly not do anything wrong.

Recoil patterns, and the hunter skin looks sick on the M110. EBR is objectively better but the m110 wont let you down.

M110 SASS sounds better, looks better, has less recoil and adds 2% less total weight. If you don’t mind a 10 round mag then I suppose a sniper could save two points for something else like an MR 73 instead of a 9mm pistol for CQB. Would also allow you to use the 7x sniper scope for an additional discount.

But yes, the Mk 14 is a better choice in my opinion.

The M110 is one of the most successful rifles the US military ever fielded, and the M14 possibly the worst. If that sort of thing matters to you.

EBR all day, every day. Fully auto sniper rifle? Game over, man, game over.

First mistake is to only look at the U.S military. Weapons such as the M110 and M14 are used by a large variation of countries (M110 not so much) and organisations.

When it comes to popularity and history as well as use, the M14 is clearly leading and far ahead of the M110 with the M110 only being used by 4 different countries.

The M14 has seen and caused a lot more gore & blood than the M110 ever will and the M14 is a feared weapon, not only by the looks of it but also by reputation and history.

So I majorly fail to understand how one can claim the M14 is the worst rifle fielded in the US military or in general ? Hell I mean, this thing is around since 1954 and still used till this day. The M110 is only around sice 2007 or 2008.

Probably he's ignoring the distinction between 'M14 as a main service rifle' and 'M14 as a DMR'.
It's a lot more capable in one role than the other, that's for certain.

Yes and no.

Don't forget that during the time of it's introduction to the military as a main service rifle, the M14 had it's place and did it's job very well.... which was to KILL the enemy.
In fact, the M14 was even well preferred by U.S troops during the Vietnam war even after the introduction of the M16.

The M14 as a DMR might be more capable being a DMR, due to it being quite " chunky " and heavy, but again, for the time.

Either way, the M14 was not a fail nor was it the worst, it got the job done and was and still is used widely, even though more as a DMR.
