For both there isn't much of a difference, only that you can switch to full auto with the MK14 which CAN be an advantage at close to medium range or you just want to spray a little in CQB.
Don't differentiate between DMR and Sniper rifles in this game, both including assault rifles can be used to cover the whole entire map easily and both do the same good job at it, it's all about the scopes in this game and pretty much the bullet speed (which is fast enough with the MK14).
An other thing I noticed is, when I play MK110 and MK14 in semi fire and tap as fast as I can, the MK110 wont allow me to fire as fast as the MK14. Maybe this is just me, but this is how it feels.
If you go with the MK14, you can certainly not do anything wrong.
But yes, the Mk 14 is a better choice in my opinion.
This only stands for Semi Automatic Sniper System.
Its more like Sexy A$$ Sniper Syndrome
LOL
First mistake is to only look at the U.S military. Weapons such as the M110 and M14 are used by a large variation of countries (M110 not so much) and organisations.
When it comes to popularity and history as well as use, the M14 is clearly leading and far ahead of the M110 with the M110 only being used by 4 different countries.
The M14 has seen and caused a lot more gore & blood than the M110 ever will and the M14 is a feared weapon, not only by the looks of it but also by reputation and history.
So I majorly fail to understand how one can claim the M14 is the worst rifle fielded in the US military or in general ? Hell I mean, this thing is around since 1954 and still used till this day. The M110 is only around sice 2007 or 2008.
It's a lot more capable in one role than the other, that's for certain.
Yes and no.
Don't forget that during the time of it's introduction to the military as a main service rifle, the M14 had it's place and did it's job very well.... which was to KILL the enemy.
In fact, the M14 was even well preferred by U.S troops during the Vietnam war even after the introduction of the M16.
The M14 as a DMR might be more capable being a DMR, due to it being quite " chunky " and heavy, but again, for the time.
Either way, the M14 was not a fail nor was it the worst, it got the job done and was and still is used widely, even though more as a DMR.
