That system exist to protect the system and hardware from catastrophic failure.
device HUNG means the driver did not respond in time which in vast majority of cases in games known to have stable rendering code means the GPU or it's driver is unstable and need to be looked at.
Stuff like running otherwise unsupported launch opritons like "-dx12", running overlays (RTSS), D3D/DXGI mods (ReShade), overclocking, undervolting, buggy drivers, overheating, and so on and so forth are the actual causes of this error.
During my 490 hrs playtime, I only got this crash very recently.
My gears are : Ryzen 5600X RTX 2080 super 32GB RAM
There is no way my pc can't handle the game, and I have no problem playing other games.
