There's another game I just saw on Steam called Incursion: Red River that might be worth looking at, but it also has extraction shooter elements.
Ground Branch and Ready or Not are both decent, too, but not nearly as arcade-y as Insurgency.
I really want the old Rainbow Six, or even R6 Vegas back...
Six days in fallujah is pretty much the same, but requires 3 communicating teammates to actually be fun.
DO NOT listen to these people. theres 3 servers that are amazing, they're operation servers. 24/7 operations pve. just hopped off, was an ongoing night operation, NVG and all. super customizable, any 2 guns you want and attachments too. EN.JOY.
I got it and I was surprised that (at least the download) weighs only around 11GB
It's basically a standalone WW2 overhaul for the previous insurgency.
