FPS DROPS HELPP

Does anyone else has FPS drops every 15 seconds? i play normally for like 30 seconds and suddenly everything goes down to 15-20 FPS making the game unplayable for those 5-10 seconds of fps drops.. i have try disabling cloud sync, reinstall in 2 different disk and still the same, its so annoying. anyone knows anything? please helppppp

No drops here, the only time I get FPS drops is when my laptop charger is not plugged in.

Have you changed any graphics settings recently or updated a driver? That's where I'd be looking.

Blow your coolers out if needed, but don't spin up the fans while doing so. Cap the FPS in the game to whatever the refresh rate of your monitor is, to prevent unnecessary thermal throttling. If that doesn't work, then go through the games video settings and turn some stuff down or off.

are you playing on community servers? i noticed that on regular matchmaking games it's fine, but go into a community server, which probably has customizations for higher player counts, enemies and grenades, your fps is gonna take a hit.

all things considered though, game's notorious for hit or miss performance, so take that as you will

first time i got the game it was ok, graphics medium-high and it was perfect, kinda like 3 months after it got like this, maybe an update? i dont know.. and yea i have updated drivers and everything.

i have done all of that stuff but sadly still the same, before i had a water cooling but it wasnt efficient (40°c just being in desktop, 60°c playing) but still the game was going smoothly at 60 FPS, then i changed to a normal fan cooler and temp was better and FPS still the same till some months pass and FPS drops every minute until now

I havent go to community servers ever lol been playing coop, versus and local always, and suddenly one day my fps started to drop out of nowhere.

Btw i have lower the settings down, now everything to medium and some other stuff turn off but still the same.
Also.. this only happens in insurgency, games like arma 3, palworld, howgarts legacy, war thunder, etc. they are all good going smooth

YEP, from 115 fps to 80-45

Based on that, I'd assume it's game specific. I was going to say it could be your graphics card dying based on your last post to me but now I'm not so sure. In most games there is an FPS limit which you can find in the config file, check that file firstly and see if it can be safely altered.

Please note, if you don't know what you're changing, altering config files can have unforeseen consequences, make a copy of the file 'before' you alter anything.

This game can be very funky, I play with this in my sandstorm's Launch Option on steam:
-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -dx12 -NoGlobalInvalidation

And ingame settings that's worth testing:
Shadow Qiality - Medium
Dynamic shadow resolution 256x256
Cascaded shadow map resolution 256x256

ikinda know what you mean, but i have try ALOT of stuff in this couple days.. tried the game at the lowest difficult and i have 60 FPS stable but it happens the same, fps drops from 60 to 15-20 and even 5 fps sometimes (i activated the fps viewer of the game) i thought it might be my computer too but wouldnt make sense that games that requires higher specs run smoothly, also i changed the graphic settings to high and very high and still getting 60 FPs with the same drops... and seriously i didnt know my PC was able to run the game in very high. but it has the same problem with being at the lowest settings. im starting to think that i got bad update of the game or something because it was perfect the first time i downloaded it like a year ago.. a few months later fps drops,.

And also, i played the game in a SATA disk and a SSD and both have the same issue with the FPS so i really dont know whats going on here..

YEP, from 115 fps to 80-45

happens since you got the game or after a few months with it already?
i have the game cap at 60 and for a few months it was always at 60 fps but idk wtf happen and it goes to 15-20.. impossible to play anything

Facing exact same issue for few months. If you had issue connecting to NWI server, your CPU usage will drop to a very low level. And that's what cause the FPS drop. I've been playing this game for a very long time and mostly local play. This issue appeared since maybe 2 or 3 updates back

Nvidia experience/up and MSI Afterburner programs can mess up some games, If you got them, have y0 tried to disable them?

Sounds like your EAC is lagging your game. It hangs on launch for most people. Almost every time I want to play, I have to verify game files, reboot steam, it reinstall EAC and loads vulkan shaders, then it works for a few matches.
