Not every game shows a ban on your profile tho, neither im saying this is 100% confirmed, wich is why I used the words "apparently" and "according to other comments...", but wouldnt be suprised if it was true because of what Ive already said
For the links, you can literally check his post history just as I did, enter there and check his thread asking for grey zone to be free and why he want it to be free (you can also use the search option for that too)

Here it is, the original post had a clown award, OP complaining because too many people were banned in the game, and after one comment said "and let me guess, you are part of the banned people too?" It went downhill because he said yes
EDIT2: Seems like no one was deranged enough as me to save an archive of the GZ forum so sadly my screenshot is the only proof I have

The original insurgency, as far as I remember, was given away for free about 3 times, so who knows, maybe theres hope for this one as well?
I sincerely doubt it tho, the only thing we've had so far are free weekends
