Better firefights and teamplay - Squad
That is not a comparission. I just put some points about the Squad for other guys that also have interest in other games with more or less the same ''feel'' of Insurgency.
Both have some ''hardocore'' gameplay, very far from what you usually encounter with more popular games like COD (specially Warzone), Battlefield and others.
Not sure about the firefights or teamplay...
It´s more satisfying to kill the guys because the game itself feels more imersive like i said, but at the same time, it´s a bit strange... The imersion comes out a big map, less information, people sneaking around and those things that makes that game somewhat special...
But at the same time you have some ''problems''.
First off all is the supression system.... Was a bit stupid in my opinion (and maybe im was right because they changed it). With a few bullets, in some close firefight works well (very well), but sustained supression just makes your screen darker and darker until you arent able to do ANYTHING decent. Sounds is also a mix with good and bad things... Usually it´s good, but they arent very ''detailed''.
Some games also are almost endless.
Some games have a good action, some games you try to find some fights and kill 2 guys in a match with 40 minutes, lol.
Teamplay is IMPOSSIBLE to judge.
Yes you can have a good squad, do good things and so on, but the whole team have 50 players... THAT IS A LOT to call ''teamplay''. Some matches are very close, being my closest a 4/0 (only 4 tickets of diference), but i also played games like 230-0.
I like both games, but you are right about the Squad receiving more atention from their dev´s.
Having a good team consisting of objective oriented squads makes for some really good matches. A nice ebb and flow of squads moving to different parts of the map, setting up FOBs, having more teammates spawn in different locations, and move onto objectives is something that INS doesn't have and isn't designed around.
To me, INS is just a more "tactical" version of COD. It's a lot of individuals doing their own thing and teamwork is more or less secondary unless you're a veteran player who knows what they're doing and has a similarly minded team.
