It's in a steady decline.
NWI has been only by name for years, even before the release of Sandstorm. The other main figures leaving the studio over time didn't help either.
It's like saying Nokia now is still Nokia. It's not, it's just a brand name bought by HMD Global, the team that made the brand the way it was is no more.
But they will, and eventually we won't be so lucky to receive hotfixes before they just up and dip.
Ready or not - swat 4 like game, lots of equipment, got mods for new levels, really good enemy ai, slow paced.
Ground branch - pacing is a bit like sandstorms hardcore mods, got better weapon customisation, slow and tactical, got dedicated servers, i think up to 8 players per team and up to 50 enemies, missions either to kill all enemies, or to find Intel and extract.
6 Days in Fallujah - prob most hardcore one of these, up to 4 players and 4 premade classes, got 4 levels, but everytime they are randomized, so each time they are little different, very tactical and gotta work together to success.
These are the best ones so far IMO, they are all early access, so alot still to be added to them, but still can sink hours in them already, ngl sandstorm is still my fav cos its most faced paced of bunch, but for variety i play them all.
