Have you tried community servers?
They house a big part of the player base since official servers are pretty much dead or has that one server per region which mainly just either houses kids and/or is heavily unbalanced.

i can join 12 servers now with at least 2 players in it. 50 others are empty

For me Firefight takes ages to find a match during the week in EU region

I think it might be a problem on your end or your specific region has no servers. I'm EU east and I never struggle to find a server in push, takes like 20 seconds max. Though it is true that other modes like the vip escort one can take ages to find a game sometimes.

Been saying this for awhile now, but the game is not doing as great as people seem to think. Checking steam charts shows the average player base bleeding about 8-10% on average every month since Oct 2022. Then you gotta factor in everyone who's only playing co-op, community servers and then every game mode. You can find servers, but its getting harder and harder every month to do so. They're times I will just quit cause after 3-4 mins of waiting I'll say screw it and play something else, which has just led me to uninstalling and playing something else :/

All 200-300 of us enjoy the game a lot.

At this point I'd only recommend playing on community servers. Official servers seem to have a sincere problem with hops, bots are terribly easy (had a lobby yesterday where EVERYBODY didn't die ONCE) and because connections seem to not work properly, people around the planet connect to servers they shouldn't.

It's still weird, because I have zero trouble anywhere. I can even play on russian servers, but at this point I doubt they are located in Russia and many players really struggle with connections.

But playing on community servers seem to work for most people I talk to, with the Sandstorm typical random grip into the toilet from time to time.

So maybe try your luck there, if you don't wanna play PvP and Frenzy, because these servers are really dead most of the time (saw maybe 6 PvP players yesterday and nobody playing on Frenzy).

Depends on the mode. Push and Frontline you can always find games. Player count is down, year to year, but you can easily find PVP games for those modes.
