Hows the singleplayer with bots?
So i hear this game is on its way out with how few people play it. I know, i know, u can probably find a game in peak hours, but many of us dont play on peak hours and we need a game that we can jump in to at Any time and not wait for a long time. So i was wondering, how is it playing with the bots? Do you spawn in alone,or do you have bot team mates with you? Are they smart? Hows your experience these days?

I can find PvE games in Asia server (presumably less populated) any hour. I don't think you will be forced to play single player.

in single player you spawn with a bot team and you can only play the Checkpoint mode (a PVE mode). Your team will respawn after being wiped out, so IIRC the only way you can lose is by losing a capture point during defense phase. You will also personally respawn immediately if you were killed.

That's what I remember from my very few experience of single player.

You can actually play any game mode and any map with bots, all you have to do is enable admin mode in the settings

Doesn't the AI bot respawn take away your team's waves, meaning that they get killed for being bots and then you can't make one mistake or you have to start the map over?

No, it will only count your deaths, and when you do die, your entire team will respawn.

It's not perfect (no game or AI is) but it's one of the most replayable experiences in the genre. Particularly with Survival mode, where you can roam the entire map and both the weapons & objectives are randomly selected.

They also approach/appear from seemingly-random directions on each playthrough, rather than other games where they stick to predictable designated paths and form conga-lines.

The AI loudly make their presence known. Which is unrealistic and comedic, but makes them more balanced to fight against in a hardcore, low-TTK shooter.

They're generally not TOO accurate or aware of your exact position either, which can easily make or break the experience.

As mentioned you can tweak their numbers and difficulty via config files, or use AI mods if you're that keen.

It's best with friends in COOP form of course, but I occasionally find myself sucked into a long singleplayer session as well.

Bipolar. The developers are constantly tweaking bot settings, making the porridge too cool one second and too hot the next, but never with enough salt or honey.

hahaha isn't that what extremists are in real life?

it's pretty cool, not exactly challenging because you get a lot of respawns, but i try to speedrun co-op levels, which makes it a lot more challenging.
