There's currently only one server but work is being done to host more. It got popular really, really fast because of the announcement. I've only played one match in the server. Also, PvP mode is going to be added in an update. I'm looking forward to that a lot.

You don't even need an account to take a look at what's inside. If there's something wrong with it then it's on your end. Maybe your internet browser settings?
I use mod.io for DRG. Not a big fan of it but it's okay. When you sign into it with Steam you're not giving a third-party your login information. It goes to Steam and then Steam sends them a token saying that it's really you. The only danger comes from if that Steam login website is fake, which it's not. " steamcommunity.com " is actually the same URL as the page we're on right now.
It's possible to play the mod by just directly joining the server and having the mod install. There are some downsides to this method but it is still fully functional. I played on a neat looking custom map.
