firefight is the second best mode, but i find the same problem than you, i don't feel engaged at all, rounds feel short in most cases, people is constantly disconnecting, matches are usually imbalanced... and waiting for a respawn is a pain in the ass.
push, domination and frontline... no comments
i hope they add skirmish again in the permanent modes.
Edit: I don´t play commander/observer too. Because I don´t like such things in shooters.
I only grab the observer, if I see a commander and no observer is there.
I agree with this.
Skirmish is best, then firefight. Both mode's are heavily focused on playing the obj and teamwork and reward you for it instantly, that makes it fun. I especially liked the smaller Skirmish version they did with a limited playlist recently.
Skirmish is like firefight but with more options and freedom (to flank, sneak to cash etc.) While firefight is mostly just rushing B. It's often already decided when B is taken and it's really annoying when playing with new players who don't understand this. You already know enough when you see the whole team rocking those mega backpacks.
I don't think push or frontline are bad though, they can be really fun and tense. But same problem here, where new players don't know how to get on the obj as attackers or how to use the commander/observer roles.
And domination is just plain bad, I only play it after being too frustrated from imbalanced teams in other modes, or when I'm in the mood to rack up alot of kills, or when I wanna ♥♥♥♥ around with funny loadouts.
