Stock ryzen coolers are decent enough, mine's holding pretty well (I have the stock 2700X one tho instead, but same idea), so I wouldn't worry too much. If you're still worried you can increase your fan speeds above it's base values to get a couple degrees cooler if you wish
If you're really concerned about temps. you could enter the BIOS and find the Vcore (Core Voltage) and change it from AUTO to 1.2v. Then change your CPU clock speed from AUTO to 4.5Ghz, save changes and reboot.
Depending on the rest of your configuration, you might lose a little in performance but the temps should remain the lowest they can be on the stock cooler.
my 5800x also runs quite warm, around 70-80 under load most of the time, so i would say it is acceptable
Don't do that if you have no clue about undervolting. Every processor has a different quality. it's hard to guess the perfect voltage/clock-speed ratio right. Running the CPU close to max boost while "undervolting" might lead to unstable performance. If you want to undervolt the CPU you should do it stepwise and always run (short) stresstests after your adjustments.
I'd only really worry if your idle temps were higher than 60c or your load temps were hitting sustained temps upwards of 80c without at LEAST 70% cpu utilization.
You are fine. But I would say that getting a new cooler would be a good decision, there are some really cheap, but good ones.
And Wraith Prism/Max are often better than your "dirt cheap" coolers tbh (shipping with R7-3700X, etc.).
the game is at about 20% utilization max on my end. considering you have 4 cores less different gpu and resolution which means about 25-30% util on your end?
Seems pretty high to me but I don't know much about ryzen and how it does in this game.
Not sure what they end up using the wraiths with, but the fact that the SIs are using something else for cost efficiency is rather telling regarding how good the wraiths actually are.
Either because they are actually buying the cpus without the coolers because the coolers are actually more expensive than a cheapo, or because they are yoinking said coolers for a more 'high-end' system.
