So, what is our new Tavor 7 good for?

What's the Tavor 7 for? Allow me to explain...

The Tavor has neither good damage per shot nor a good rpm for a battle rifle, making overall damage output sup-par. That said, there are several guns without good damage output that stand out in other ways, so lets look at some other stuff.

It has a more severe horizontal trend to its recoil than absolutely every gun in the game. The only gun that can match the Tavor's need for you to pull sideways while firing is the Glock, which has horrible horizontal recoil specifically because it's otherwise overpowered. If you mag dump a Tavor, your point of aim will have deviated left more than twice as far as the FAL, a gun that is also noticeably superior in literally every other way.

By now it's quite obvious that performance wise, it's far below average. There are only two other factors relevant to weapons, the number of people who can use it and the supply cost. At 5 supply points and Advisor only, the Tavor's poor performance is redeemed precisely not at all whatsoever by its similarly poor availability.

In case you are wondering why this gun exists, like I was, allow me to enlighten you. All these horrible stats are just a trade off for one mighty trick up the Tavor's sleeve. The Tavor doesn't get pushed aside when too close to obstacles as much as other battle rifles. The glorious bullpup design will allow us to maintain full function of our firearms while our teams stuff us into boxes and ship us back home for throwing games by trying to use this pathetic gun.

And you obviously missed the point.
The svd or ebr were available to and often used by the advisor class before....
But since they are no longer available to them "going back to using what you used before" is not really an option now, is it?

To anyone saying the Tavor has less recoil than the ACE, go into the firing range and mag dump it into a wall. The ACE goes straight up, like basically every gun in the game, and the Tavor goes just as far up while also shooting off to the left severely.

We can absolutely use other guns, but I'd rather development effort be put into things with a purpose. So I'm sorry I expected our new weapons to have a point to them.

As long as the recoils of both Tavor 7 & Galil ACE 52 are reduced due to how FAL & Mk. 14 have higher RoF & lower than 20 vertical recoil, then they'd be more cost-effective while still providing identical ballistic performance to G3.

There's no point to weapons when 2 9mm do the same damage as 2 7.62 rounds. The new guns are completely useless and add nothing to the game.

pick SCAR instead if you wanna be a total operator but dont want to spend 5 points.

or.. if you wanna a real contributor to the team, pick L85A2 or Alpha AK (if you play as infidel killer)

even in ultralethal mode, its still not fun to use as the recoil is so high that you have a hard time aiming with it and get laughed by insurgent using uncleaned Browning HP that one tapped you from 200m. again jut use SCAR for operator point and variety or L85A2 or Alpha AK for pro MLG moment

People who aren't eco-locating bots with intimidate before pushing that cap are spectating or soon to be spectating.

Recoil was reduced for both weapons, so we'll see how that goes. They are probably still expensive, but at least it shouldn't feel like actively hindering yourself when you choose one of them.
