So, what is our new Tavor 7 good for?

What's the Tavor 7 for? Allow me to explain...

The Tavor has neither good damage per shot nor a good rpm for a battle rifle, making overall damage output sup-par. That said, there are several guns without good damage output that stand out in other ways, so lets look at some other stuff.

It has a more severe horizontal trend to its recoil than absolutely every gun in the game. The only gun that can match the Tavor's need for you to pull sideways while firing is the Glock, which has horrible horizontal recoil specifically because it's otherwise overpowered. If you mag dump a Tavor, your point of aim will have deviated left more than twice as far as the FAL, a gun that is also noticeably superior in literally every other way.

By now it's quite obvious that performance wise, it's far below average. There are only two other factors relevant to weapons, the number of people who can use it and the supply cost. At 5 supply points and Advisor only, the Tavor's poor performance is redeemed precisely not at all whatsoever by its similarly poor availability.

In case you are wondering why this gun exists, like I was, allow me to enlighten you. All these horrible stats are just a trade off for one mighty trick up the Tavor's sleeve. The Tavor doesn't get pushed aside when too close to obstacles as much as other battle rifles. The glorious bullpup design will allow us to maintain full function of our firearms while our teams stuff us into boxes and ship us back home for throwing games by trying to use this pathetic gun.

I really think they should make the Tavor and ACE-52 cheaper, if they're going to stay with the stats they have, and buff the SCAR-H to compensate. Make it actually worth being picked. L85 -> Tavor -> Mk.18 -> SCAR sounds like a good point progression, right?

The Tavor also does the same, if not less, damage than the AK alpha despite it being a higher caliber and more expensive.

Decrease recoil of Tavor & Ace to more closely resemble FAL & G3.
Lower the initial supply cost to the same, 4, as FAL & G3.
Right now, they're just terrible in comparison to both of them.
They're also a lot worse options than the SVD & Mk14.

I found that this gun is very steady after first initial tossing in hipfire. Looks like good to run and gun without ads scoping.

It's decent imo. The ACE has worse recoil. It doesn't handle as well as the FAL, but I don't think it's terrible by any means. In general I opt for 7.62 guns over 5.56, so I'm glad it wasn't just another addition to that.

I don't think this is worse than the Mk14, either. I generally was OHK ai with this, with the MK14 its often two shots.

It's actually the opposite if you've fired a bunch of bullpups. Tavor21/X95, Keltec KSG, Keltec RDB, AUG, list goes on. They are a lot more harsh in recoil when shooting compared to traditional firearms.

As far as reloads go, they don't care about realistic reload speeds on here. Constantly using charging handles instead of bolt releases. The speed reload for the Galil ACE doing the 90 degree L shaped retention thing, only to drop the mag afterwards to rack the charging handle. Meanwhile the ACTUAL retention reload ingame takes forever because you don't hold both mags in one hand.
Tavor speed reload should be really fast. A little bit of training and you can drop the mag out, new mag in, and hit that bolt release in about a second.

AFAIK the mag release in Tavor 7 is located just near the trigger while the bolt release is located below & behind the mag well which the operator will use when empty speed reloading.

Actually the ballistic performance (Muzzle velocity & penetration) of those new BRs is identical to G3 which may denote their "Notorious" two-hit-kill capability in longer ranges save to their higher RoF than G3 (Tavor 7 fires faster & is also more compact with lower recoil than Galil ACE 52). In bottom line, the higher the muzzle velocity then the higher the damage output will be in same caliber.

Makes sense, because that's what this game needs... More catering to the run and gun crowd... After all we wouldn't want to scare of the CoD console kiddies, would we now?

I don't think that's the reason for it, considering both Galil ACE 52 & Tavor 7 have higher recoil (Especially horizontal recoil) than mundane battle rifles like FAL & G3, despite Tavor 7 being more compact while still offerring identical ballistic performance (Muzzle velocity & penetration) & also has higher RoF & better recoil than Galil ACE 52.

Apart from the higher velocity, rate of fire and penetration, I don't see it as a worthwhile replacement of the SCAR-H. Especially at 3 points difference. Maybe if it's 3 points it'll be much more tolerable as a 'CQC' variant of the SCAR. With the 3 points difference you can add an extended magazine to the SCAR.
