Local Play AI
So it's pretty frustrating for me to do local play because I try to take it nice and slow but my teammates just rush into everything, and before I know they are all dead and I am alone.

This is on hardcore insurgents btw, so attacking side.

Would be nice if:
- Team waits for the player to get within a certain range before they move, 9/10 times they rush in and die and you are alone again.
- Team gets their weapons from the resupply chest (but leave spawned ammo for player like they do now). Now you die once everyone is just using mosin's all the time.
- That said, make the AI pick up enemy weapons?
- Make the attacking AI wait a little bit more, right now they just rush and rush until they are dead. Just make them wait 5-10 seconds to try and lure someone out.

Honestly though the defending AI also has this rush problem, where they just rush through the same spot over and over and you can just kill 10 of them by looking at the same door.

I understand the concept of shock and awe but this just seems too suicidal to me lol.

I think these simple changes would make the local play more bearable.

Ideally I would like to have some simple commands, but I know this is not single player at its core.
But simple commands like "Hold Position" and "Watch This Direction" would already help alot.

Mh yeah sure but then you would risk them winning too much maybe? I do understand the problem of not making the AI do everything for the player, but right now I find myself alone way too often.

My complaint is that there is only Checkpoint and Hardcore checkpoint. The problem with those gamemodes is that with the wave system; if you die during a counter attack you never have enough time to get back on point to prevent them from capturing; and thus losing the match.

There are plenty of ways to fix that; but I feel the ability to select any game mode and mutator for offline play would be way better. It feels like Local/Offline play is purposely gimped.

The biggest disappointment of this game is the lack of Local Play options and support.

edit your game.ini file, tones of things you can do... I can't play normal anymore, my edits are what I enjoy most now...

I don't know much about it, but if you go to
C:\Users\*YOURUSERNAME*\AppData\Local\Insurgency\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
open Game.ini in notepad or notepad++ or whatever. It will most likely be blank, just add this:

You can change the AI difficulty to anything from 0.0 to 1.0
Friendly bot quota is how many friendly AI you get, though only a max of 7 will appear along with the player.
You can change the wave/reinforcement settings, how it is above will allow you to respawn twice per objective.
The minimum and maximum enemies are what you expect them to be, set the mto whatever you like. Not sure what the max is, perhaps 16?

Honestly this should be incorporated into the UI. This also doesn't solve the problem of mutators not being available. Unless it works similar to the server gamemode settings.
