They need to figure out their game first.
Slightly related; if you're after a performance boost I would very much recommend pasting this into your Sandstorm 'Launch Options' within Steam:
-DX12 -NOTEXTURESTREAMING
Ignore old posts that reported this would fill all available RAM causing terrible stuttering; that's no longer true. I've been using it for the last 4 months and never seen any abnormal memory usage.
On my 3800x / RTX 2070 / G7 240hz setup while I don't get higher max fps, I do get waaaaay more consistent fps + no more massive drops.
Ex: DX11 - On Bab, if you go to the roof of the building on the 3rd point (coop/training vs bots) and look out to the castle/4th point I'll drop from 100+ fps to ~60fps (but feels like 30fps due to the horrendous 99th percentile consistency)
DX12 - Same spot, never drop below 90fps (not even when the enemy smoke bombs the point) along with obviously smoother feel in all areas of any map.
Also Recommended:
Display Settings -> Graphics -> Browse App ->
"\Steam\steamapps\common\sandstorm\Insurgency\Binaries\Win64\InsurgencyClient-Win64-Shipping.exe"
-> Options -> High Performance
I assume you have Nvidia due to your DLSS request:
Nvidia Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Program Settings -> (If not in list) Add -> find same .exe as before
Then
Power management mode -> Prefer maximum performance
Just make sure you're NOT doing that under 'Global Settings' or else your card will always be running at max 3D clocks even at desktop etc.
