Instead you have modio, which requires you to run the game and when you close it while it's downloading, it'll still run and download the mod and close after it's finished, but after that you'll have to download again because ♥♥♥ you that's why
Cause that is what NWI chose to support and develop&release tools for.
But I guess lack of developer support for modding is inherently casued by what is essentially a cloud hosting file server, makes perfect sense !
The problem is that it does not. NWI could have used their own launcher as a stand-in and hook Mod.io API to that.
People blame mod.io for issues not caused by them at all :3
Yeah, it seems like Ghost Ship Games integrated mod.io into Deep Rock Galactic very well because it downloads mods very fast and without problems compared to Insurgency Sandstorm, but those are mostly smaller mods, I don't know how it would handle bigger ones.
I trust steam when i download workshop items from it.
I dont know mod.io and i dont trust them nor do i wish to know and trust them.
Vast majority of these topics (OP included) are more or less made up reasons to hate on mod.io.
Now we're stupid with a crappy mod platform and soon console squawks who'll have the same gripes as the rest of us. I hope whatever other game this dev is working on is 10 times better than what they gave here...
"its scewwy" = reasonable stance
absolutley incredible
