UE4 = Bad Performance?

i'm really disappointed about this new..all games with UE4, except a few, runs like ♥♥♥♥ on my old rig...(HD7950 3 gb Amd Phenom 2 x4 965 BE-4gb ram) at mid-low setting at 1680 x 1050...so i would prefer cryengine maybe or the old engine Source...or maybe UE3,5 wich is one of the best engine ever.to me

I play Insurgency on the lowest settings I can physically have so my laptop can crank out 17-50 fps. If you are on what was at one point a decent gaming rig then I think that you'll be able to turn down the settings low enough to make the game playable.

When the beta starts up you should be able to find out for sure.

Also I agree that the jeering about spending a couple hundred dollars on better parts is stupid, especially with how the current market is inflated by cryptocurrency. I'm trying to save money not burn it.

Please keep in mind that most games that use UE4 have HUGE maps. Insurgency has small maps, Insurgency Sandstorm will have slightly larger maps. The game should be able to run well on any modern computer.

So I was able to play this game at a very early state and i'll say it was really fun, it runs really well unreal engine is a great engine and it really isn't that bad unreal engine doesn't scale with alot of players don't assume games like pubg is the becnhmark for unreal engine.

The 7950 is not a bad GPU at all even today. But that CPU is bad bad, I know becuase it was the one I had before switching it for a I3 7100.

Try to upgrade your motherboard because I assume your current one only accepts AM3 socket and get an Pentium or I3/Rysen 3 CPU.
You should be getting more ram too.

Source? For the love of God no. I got last years Dell i7 six months ago for 620. A 1060 for 200. Not a lot of money, get a second job for a few weeks.

All you need is extra 4gb ram and some cheap refurbished i5.That gpu is slightly slower than 1050 ti so its good.

It will be 60fps on ps4 so it probably run well on your pc

i know..i have to completly change all--- yea i cana dd 4 gb of RAm but i think find some dimm like mine won't be easy...hope i can get a job soon to upgrade all and get an ssd too.
