SCAR H is one of the most versetile weapons in the game, but in Versus is only avable to Security Advisor, The Advisors, the Breachers, the Marksmans, The Gunners, and the Demos are limited by the number of players able to spawn with this classes.
On other hand the FN FAL and the G3 are avable to the Riflemans and the Rifleman class have no such limitation.
(Comander and the Observer have the same weapon selection as the Rifleman)
only few exceptions, but this is because the gun either sucks or kinda niche
Makarov: bruh
Tariq: bruh
G36K: the recoil is too strong, comparable to LMG. have to use a foregrip to negate itwhich make its total cost 6 points (just pick M16 or M4 unless you want to cosplay a Bundeswehr)
MG3: fast rpm, horrible recoil, heavy as hell, and only contains 50 rounds. extended mag makes it more heavy and only boost to 100.
for the best gun imo, is L85A2. almost no recoil. high chance of one shot enemy, lookin operator. definitely better than SCAR, because SCAR only contain 20 rounds while L85 contains std 30 rounds which make it far less weighty cz it doesnt need an extended mag. both guns are exclusive to security advisor.
It coasts 0 supply.
So the Insurgents have free sidearm.
G36K is cheap. Only 3 supply in Versus,
So basicly you can run it in a loadout with Foregrip+Holo, or with Flash Hider+Extended Mag+Holo, and you still will have supply points for 2 granades Light Carrier and Heavy Armor. This is huge build for Firefight.
Also as a Demo with Heavy Carrier and Light Armor,
You still have supply points for MAAWS and G36K equiped with Holo with Underbarrel Launcher.
With this build you have 2x40mm Granades and 2x rockets for the MAAWS,
In order to clean every objective in Push, Skirmish or Frontline.
Also G36K have good ironsights.
There is no "Best Weapon", Every weapon is meta.
Insurgents:
AKM with underbarreled grenade launcher + RPG-7 + max vest + no armor + 2 smokes (if in atck) / or 1 frag nade (if in def).
Security:
G36 with red dot and underbarreled grenade launcher + M3 + max vest + no armor + smokes.
AKM - Extended mags
1911 - Quick draw holster, extended mags
3 molotovs
No armor
3 point ammo carrier
gas mask
Looks like a very non meta loadout.
1) if you wanna mod an AKM, you'll have to choose just flash hider... Ext. mag is ok, but not with gun of 600 RPM.
2) 1911 is a bad pistol. One of the worst ones. Costs 2 points, has 7 round mags, huge recoil, no damage ar distance and it cannot oneshot armored people. Basically, every other pistol is better than 1911.
3) Molotovs? Really?
Why? I mean...if you have to clean up the building, molotovs will not help you because they explodind on impact. F1 (frag nade) is superior in every way. It's more universal and reliable.
G36 has 2 round burst, which is extremely good and accurate at long ranges and has really good full-auto rpm for CQB.
MP7 is GODLY for CQB with extended mags and compensator, but its fast bulletdrop makes it weak at ranges.
G3 and FAL are really good because they kill with one shot, but light and heavy armor reduce the one shot kill range and they have really high recoil, slow rpm, and less ammo capacity.
Shotguns are really good with laser sight and hip-fire, but they're not so easy to use because if you miss, you're dead.
In general, 7.62 weapons are good penetrating walls and doing more damage, but the bullet drops faster than 5.56 unless you're using a sniper. 5.56 weapons are more accurate, but they lose a lot of damage when penetrating walls.
Makes sense because they have high damage and high rof. That means lower ttk.
Also, picking SVD on attack and using it in CQB effectively eliminates one sniper n00b in your team.
They are esential in Push and Frontline.
Also there are 3 types of 7.62 ammo in Insurgency Sandstorm and they are not the same.
(yes, PUBG dumbed down the ammo in order to make their game less complex)
7.62x39 Soviet - AKM, Alpha AK,
7.62x54R - Mosin Nagant, PKM, SVD
7.62x51 NATO - Mk14, FAL, G3, SCAR H, MG3, M240B.
M24 uses AP version of the 7.62x51 NATO cartridge.
As I alredy said multiple times everything is meta.
Maybe when NWI manage to fix the Skirmish mode, and bring it back the Mines will be far more usefull again.
