Try DX12. Extreme performance enhancement!
Right click the game in your steam library, click properties, launch options.

Write that in there: -dx12

and click OK. Start the game and try it out. Have fun!

Don't do that. Just a late April fool's joke.

No, man. It really works. Also MSI Afterburner shows that Dx12 is running.

Seems higher fps but there are still things which cause stutter. When states change in the game. It must be how the content is streamed. When heli spawns in, team mates spawn or die, gas is deployed, nade explodes, smoke goes off, suicide bomber goes off, enemy dies. There is a stutter.

Dx12 works wonders for AMD GPU's.
Got a 5700 XT before with everything set to ultra game was dropping below 60 fps during intense firefights.

With DX12 it never ever dropped under 63.

Only downside is with dx 12 when set to fullscreen it limits the game to 60 fps.
Workaround is set to Borderless Fullscreen for uncapped fps.

Also dont forget to set Texture Pool to high or else textures wont load.

DX12 works and should be set as an option in game.

Experimental stupid thing that does not improve the game by a margin.

DX12 should be an option but might (NWI - WILL) never happen!

DirectX automatically updates. And if you use "update" under options, then you can update it manually.

Players shouldn't do it but your lack of optimization make players find alternatives solutions for something you couldn't fix since alpha.

In my case switching to dx12 improved my game experience but it is still not even close to be acceptable.

So instead of trying to recommend players not to find alternative solutions you should be trying to fix your game optimization.

Optimisation is an ongoing process. If you have performance issues please check you meet the minimum system requirements for the game, update your driver versions, and alter your in game settings. If you have specific issues please contact support.newworldinteractive.com.

Making untested and unverified changes to launch perameters or game files is not recommended. It makes it harder for our team to test and trouble shoot performance issues and could cause issues with your game.

At least PLEASE do NOT ever try to block us ability to configure engine.ini ,do your "optimization" for the eternity but we as a community find better ways to make the game work even if you do not recommend to do so. If you would actually care about performance, DX12 would be implemented by default already... Here it is UE4 game, look at GPU utilization graph, DX12 destroys DX11 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLDAzm3R-Pw
that is why most of us get benefit by using DX12 in Sandstorm, there is NO benefit for those who already have 99% of GPU usage in DX11 though...

My computer is above minimum requirements, your support system is just a joke, 14 tickets sent no reply to any of them other than thank you for your report yada yada yada and no updates on the tickets at all.

Optimization is still an ongoing process because non of you have any idea on how to optimize the game. That's the truth.

Making untested and unverified changes to launch perameters or game files should be recommended since after 1 year and a half you still can't optimize your game at all.

You guys also released a broken MOD tools since modders can only export windows packages and not Linux so every single community admin that is running a Linux server CAN NOT run mods on their servers.

I guess you didn't even thought about Linux servers right?

I've used -useallavailablecores and -dx12 since 1.5. I went from a constant stutter with 60-90 fps and 20-70 ms frametimes to 90-120 fps and 10 ms frame time with spikes up to 20 ms. Why would I not use it? If it breaks I can remove the option later, I highly doubt that it'll brick my hardware.

I have a ryzen 2700x and 5700xt btw.
