Far more Russian Federation nationals fought against ISIS than for it.

Speaking strictly about ISIS, Russian was the third most commonly spoken language. These fighters typically come from the North Caucasus and former Soviet republics like Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc. If you go on Telegram, you'll see that a lot of jihadi channels dedicated to Syria alone are specifically Russian-language (to be fair, not all these groups are jihadist but it's ridiculously complicated there).

That being said, the Russian in the game is very well-done Muscovite Russian without the heavy accent those other nationalities tend to have. For example, many Russians I know claim they cannot understand the speech of Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of Chechnya (and arguably the REAL President of Russia), whose accent is extremely thick. I as a non-native speaker can understand him but he sounds really bizarre.
because the Russians are notorious for creating instability. ofc they would help terrorists fight the good guys

If the game is counter-ISIS based, Russia fought against ISIS both officially, through its military and through private military contractor support (including through foreign-flagged companies, like Vega).

Pointing at the "usual suspects" oftentimes results in wholly inaccurate statements. But hey.

Uzbekistanis overwhelmingly speak Uzbek as their primary language, which is Turkic.
Tajiks primarily speak Tajik, which is a Persian dialect with a Cyrillic script, although Russian is also heard/seen.

Yet Turkic and Persian derivatives aren't present in the game.

Neither for that matter is Urdu, or Pashto, or Dari despite Pakistanis and Afghans being involved.

At the end of the day, far more Russian-language speakers fight alongside or train the al Assad regime against ISIS than for ISIS.

And, of course: there's no Farsi.

Yeah man, think of any evil villain and you already know they are russian
I think it would be cool if we have makarov’s type of voice cover in this game. The insurgent voice sounds like some angry skinny dude
