So I just wait for a mod ;).
Mikee did state that mods are fine; he's just not adding in a Desert Eagle officially.

I don't think that they handle it that way. If so they could just remove some variants of already added weapons like one of the m16 variants for example because it makes no sense to have them both in the game, right?
I'm guessing you only play Cooperative, because one M16 is for Insurgents while the other is for Security.
what are you even defending max ?

The game, I guess?

Also, I'm no longer responding to you because you're just trolling.
your an ambush player

Is that so on pvp? Because on coop they are both available for Security.
And yes I only play coop.
so your in here defending the idea of new guns and not the instalment of the game mode ambush ?
and your welcome to play on vip servers when ever you like right ?

Nope? I'm not in the actual clan; I just play on the server.

I'm 100% sure Ambush is gonna be added into Sandstorm at some point or another. I'm just not trying to piss off NWI by demanding for it 24/7 since that's just annoying and unhelpful.

Security also has access to all Insurgent weapons. Insurgents in Coop have some Security weapons.

Unpopular opinion- but I fear the upcoming addition of the anti-material rifle is gonna be potentially immersion breaking and open the game to artistic liberties that will hurt NWI's initial attempt to be somewhat realistic. While I do want more weapons, I don't want to have to deal with people running around like they AWP'ing in CS:GO. The rifle better be like the MG's and make us slow as hell, full of rifle sway and have next to no ammunition inventory. This is not to say I don't want them in the game at all, since AM-50's and other types of Anti-material rifles are not totally uncommon in the hands of all these different groups fighting in the sand pit. but there needs to be some form of control over their usage aside from Sniper class limits. In terms of immersion breaking artistic liberties, you can be sure the desert eagle is on that list, just wait patiently and quietly for someone to skin the m45 or m1911 so you can pretend to play Insurgency Strike: Global Sandstorm.

In regards to potentially more firearms, I always found pictures of/and articles about weapons caches found in the middle east prior to being blown up to be the best options for weapons that should make the cut into the game. As most know, a lot of WW2 firearms turned up there over the years, Enfield's, STG's, MP40's, Grease guns, M1's, MG42's, Along with the typical Russian firearms. The game also has a lot of more current options to account for, relating more to the middle eastern groups that purchase and acquire more modern firearms from the enemy. But you gotta also account for ammo acquisition, a lot of the weapons in caches were not often even used against us because the ammunition was not widely available or common(Ex .45 ACP outside of North America, cache pristine unused grease guns)

While the AS VAL, VSK-94 and VSS would be insanely cool they unfortunately are held very closely and secretly by the Russian's and very few other countries, more so than Alpha styled AK's and DD MK-18's are regarded to be(hence their inclusion). Not to mention 9x39 ammunition is probably just as impossible to acquire for the average middle eastern group, no matter how much oil field money they have. A .300 Blackout rifle would be pretty sick though but also suffers from lack of commonality.

Maybe you don't get what he meant. Mikee explicitly stated on-stream that the Desert Eagle isn't going to be added in Sandstorm, because it's extremely unrealistic (no one uses them).

Really, though? 1000 RPM as opposed to 1200 isn't a big deal in terms of time-to-kill, considering how fast the MG3 kills anyway.

Also, is it a smaller caliber? The MG3 is 7.62x51 but I forget the K98's caliber; maybe 7.92x57. But still, it wouldn't make much of a difference.

NWI isn't just gonna add any and every firearm into the game. It's going for semi-realism, so the guns have to make some sense.

The MG3 is about 1000-1200rpm and the MG42 is about 1200-1600rpm which is quiet a difference, also the caliber 7,62x51 NATO compared to 7,92x57 IS is a big change believe me.
Of course you would not recognize the difference in the game because of the high time to kill in the game.
Would be nice anyway to have them both in the game.

I pretty much already mentioned that I hope that in-game mods are coming ASAP in case that people want to play with different maps, gun skins / models, etc.

There're several reasons why MG42 got modernized into the MG3 in the 1st place by checking the link below.

http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/MG42

It's pretty much justifiable why Insurgents are having several Western firearms like M16A2 (With fixed carry handle), FAL, Beretta M9, MP5A2 (With fixed stock), etc, considering that those may be stolen / captured from weapon caches at local military installations, security posts, etc on Middle East.
"There're several reasons why MG42 got modernized into the MG3 in the 1st place by checking the link below."

Sure thing, but Insurgents (Terrorists) use what they have, and until today they still use plenty of WW2 weapons in the middle east battlefields, even original MG42s, and they do not upgrade to the "modern" MG3.
