Any possibility of a No-Fire-Support option for CO-OP or something?
Fire support is a neat idea. And when it's used properly can be great fun and cinematic as all hell. But often in co-op. It doesn't function tactically. What I mean is when the enemy uses it, which majority of the time is some kind of bombing or mortar run on an objective that you have to protect from a counter-attack. What it essentially functions like is a dice roll to decide which of your team doesn't get to take part and instead has to spectate. Because almost 100% of the time. We are in a building, usually the final objective for the 2+ minute counter-attack. And a bombing run or mortar run will be called on the objective, we are all inside, all in cover. Yet usually the game will just single me out and the explosion will kill me. Even though im hunkered inside, prone, like everyone else. No one else in the same room as me died. Just me. It just feels like a massive "F*** you" from the game. I feel as though i'm being punished for being with my team on the objective. It's getting, well... infuritating with lack of another way to describe it. It's totally unfair. Please, oh lord please let me have an option to play CO-OP with it disabled, just like the OG Insurgency. When i died in Insurgency (Source, 2, whatever you want to call it) it rarely felt unfair. It was usually, carelessness, getting flanked or being hit from well placed grenades or RPG's etc. But with the fire support in CO-OP, and the way the A.I. uses it. This is not to mention the other plethora of nonsense the A.I. in this game pulls consistently... It just feels like the game rolls a dice on me and others to decide who does and who doesn't get to participate and play and have fun. It just rolls on me and it feels like someone opened up the console in a source engine game, typed my name and then typed "kill" That is almost exactly what it feels like. The game just decides "hmmm, that guy, screw him, you dont get to play, spectate instead"

The only way they would add this is probably an option in community servers.

Other than that, another tip would be to stay away from windows or doorways to increase chance of survival. If you are in a 2 story building, don't go on the top floor. Artillery isn't really supposed to kill you, the point is to limit what you can do. I don't think i've ever died from artillery indoors when I followed the tips I mentioned. Actually most of my artillery deaths would be me being so concentrated on a gun fight that I don't even realize shells are dropping all around me, and suddenly I get hit and explode.

It works if you know how to use it and which to apply to what target.
I think the problem surrounding AI commander is the fact that the only need for air support is a observer near them. The commander AI just spawn some air support out of thin air after that.

So many time i heard a commander demand for a observer and call is strike even tho he as no vision to where the strike was.

The truth behind air support, it doesnt come from the bots but from the system
When u go local play and you Purge AI there is no bots in the match 0 bots in the match at all and we still have air support dropping on us
So that means air support come's from the system since there is no bots in the match's
So it doesnt matter if you kill the commander or the observer its not the bots who's calling for air support, its the system/game it self
It would be nice to have an option in the server admin guide or in the admin menu to disable air support

That's what i mean, i do all those things, stay on the lowest floor, keep prone, keep away from windows and doors. And still i just spontaneously turn the mush because the system decides "that guy, ♥♥♥♥ him up"

Dude when you're tired of this nonsense and you're playing local play just enable god mode when you're defending an obj and disable after if you want to, thats it!

Thats in the admin menu under developer/player first option under player
They wont fk with you anymore ;)
P.S You can also do that if you own a custom server or if you're an admin

They call that "adaptive" difficulty
Double standard bs difficulty if you ask me
It would be more fair if we could choose difficulties, instead of this nonsense
Like example: hard, brutal, insane etc with the AI behaving the SAME with EVERYONE in the match.
That way if you choose to play on insane difficulty and you win you know you did good with your team

Yeah i've noticed this. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. "Adaptive" difficulty is total horeshit and needs to go, like RIGHT NOW. It needs to be flat out removed. Not tweaked NWI, not toned down or improved, flat out REMOVE THAT ♥♥♥♥. It's not fun. It's ridiculous to think that this even got into the game. Who's idea was this? Insurgency (Source) and Day of Infamy bots were perfectly fine. Just make it like that please for the love of god. This really should be one of the things at the top of your list to fix.

I've noticed this already and i'm only level 19. I don't think they just target you based on level, but based on stats. Hell sometimes it feels arbitrary. Like i'm not even doing well and they still have a raging hard on for me in particular.

Loadout seem to change something in the bots behavior, if you go pistol only with no armor you will feel the difference
Also the class, if you go commander and there is an observer in the match they will target both of you, but if you go commander and there is no observer in the match they wont target you as much, you'll become like an usual riffleman for example
So much little bs like that , that we dont need
We just need difficulties option with the bots behaving the same with everyone in the match's
You choose to play on insane well it will be insane for everyone in the match, thats how it should be implemented
They could keep this "adaptive" difficulty as an optional feature for those who love that, but i really doubt there is a lot of people who love that bs lol

You're exactly right. I've literally just experienced this adaptive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again just a moment ago. Both deaths in a row from bots that were so passive to the rest of my team but came rushing in and suicide RPG'd me. It's so infuriating. It's like, the Developers did everything in their power to piss me off as much as possible. That's what a lot of my experience with the game so far has been.
