How to do a "Speed Reload"?

I was just wondering if anyone figured out how to do the quick reload that they showed off in the weapon mechanics video, instead of putting your mag on your belt you drop it but reload faster.

You double tap the 'r' key. It doesn't save much time though honestly.

The difference isn't big enough. Normal reload is too fast considering you have to retain/put your old mag in your pouch. Most of the animations don't even show this. The AK's flip the old mag out with a new one but you force grab and keep it in your vest somehow. Speed reloads would be faster if they didn't wait during the reloads for no reason other than to show off the gun from a different angle. It's pretty BS.
