If you say so chief.
I do.
However...
They would have to come up with an odd damage system for it and most likely end up making a nerfed down version of the actual Five-Seven. As mentioned, power creep with that would be really real and the penetration values would be huge. Plus different tipped 5.7 rounds would get thrown around and it would most likely be a mess for the 'meta' of the game in terms of ballistics (5.56, 7.62, .45, etc)
But yes, I would still like to see it in the game, even though I wouldn't.
*Disclaimer*
This is NOT a caliber discussion or debate. That's a circle jerk of never ending madness I want no part of. A round to the face, is a round to the face any way you look at it. If the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ MP7 can have it's glory all over the place, the Five-Seven should too.
The MP7 is a primary though.
As someone who barely knows about rounds myself, it was kind of funny to stumble through and read this thread with vague comments about it's "stopping power".
cute some gun myths never die
The 5.7 is impressive because its a hot little round, and its got close to the same muzzle energy as a 115 grain 9mm round. energy increases when you consider P+ rounds though.
but when it leaves the barrel at over 2,000 fps it makes a 9mm blush. it would be interesting to see it balanced in game, as i havent even looked into the round's behavior after contact.
hell people still think 5.56 mm is a "weak" round. you can only chuckle and shake your head.
the wound profiles from the m16 on viet cong were so devastating that the cia didnt declassify them until 1983
The only time the 5.56mm itself ever had teething issues is when they took the chopped the barrel down for the m4, and was using standard "ball" ammunition.
every commercially successful round has a purpose and a niche over the next. thats why they exist. Hell even a 22 is deadly.
Id love to see all guns by the way. the more the merrier. with lots of different calibers and attachments because im horny for ♥♥♥♥ like that.
