Gun Camo?

I understand its not a thing but I think it would be nice to see some, nothing crazy to break the feel of the game but actual military camos. Would be nice to personalize your weapons a bit.

I guess how it would work is you would buy it at the main menu where you buy other customizations then you equip it on the loadout menu, obviously it wouldent effect the weight or anything. Something else that would be nice is that grassy stuff they put on sniper rifles. just throwing ideas out there, I dont mind if it gets added or not.

Weapons generally aren’t painted irl though

If they are it’s mainly tan/od parts like stocks, magazines, handgaurds and the like

People painting their guns specific camos is more of a video game/airsoft thing

I know, which is why I said I dont mind if it gets added or not, its really up to the devs :)

Maybe there should be a gun camo option with one of the optiosn being "custom" (which uses whatever skin you've downloaded from the workshop). For gameplay purposes, enemies should probably only use default skins, so you can't give everyone neo colored guns as anti-camo that only you can see.

I don't know if it's possible to show other players your custom skins (It was client side only in the source version).

weapon skins imo should be added through the workshop. It gives players the choice to add skins or not, keeping everyone happy.
