SVD is seriously op
1 shot 1 kill semi auto dmr at majority of the ranges recoil isn't much and it's pretty cheap
you can get light equipment and light kevlar too and smokes if you're pushing or pistol with quick draw and 2 classes can get this gun.

Now before you go DAE REALSTIC GAME, I should add on it's still a video game and it needs balace.


EDIT: Maybe atleast lock it to marksman class only

That depends on the game.
In case you haven't noticed: All the weapons in insurgency hurt a lot, so this is perfectly fine.


What I do agree on, is that the SVD shouldn't be available for so many classes. That does feel a bit weird.
Sorry to make another RO 2 reference on these forums but during the game's launch the dev's messed up one balance patch that unlocked mkb 42 assault rifle (basically a early version of STG44/MP44) to 3 different character classes that could have multiple players on each class (the weapon was supposed to be for only 1-2 players on the axis side) but this accident lead to situations where the soviet team would get dominated hard by a german army, where most of its soldiers where armed with assault rifles against people with bolt actions and smg's...so i think that limiting the svd to 2 people would balance it out

M14 has 20 rounds magazien and has full-auto, it can one shot everything besides heavy armor(and full-auto compensates the disadvantage of mobility in cqb), svd has bigger recoil, even and even worse in cqb, so what's your point? Btw you only have 30 hours in game, which makes your complain even more worthless

Comparing svd to mk14, svd can be obtained by 5 men, mk14 locked to 2
And 1 shot 1 kill at all ranges from semi auto weapon in a VIDEO GAME is not balanced

I dis agree about the m16 g3 and m4, good for medium range while fast rof and cqc as well, m16 is cheap so its ok

And? You can easily counter SVD with high rof assault rifles, play the game more and then come back complaining, 30 hours gameplay means nothing

It's a hardcore tactical shooter, a marksman rifle kill people in one shot is normal, you need to utlize tactics and learn every weapon's characteristics to counter each other, not everything is simple minded like op or not op

I'm aware it's a game, Escape From Tarkov is also a game and you got players going into raids with nothing but a cheap Mosin-Nagant and a pocket full of ammo and coming back with 400k+ worth of gear from tanked up players they killed. You die in EFT you lose your gear for good unless you're lucky with an insurance return. Watch that video I linked.

Maybe he's bad and doesn't know how to counter your tactics? I can throw a smoke and kill two guys camping with a pistol, do you want pistols to be nerfed?

Not my point, pistols don't 1 shot 1 kill at all, i didn't name anything else op, as mk14 is good cuz locked to only marksman, unlike svd opened to 5 guys, a 1 shot, 1 kill, semi auto rifle in a game

That gun is OP! On full-auto it's recoil is akin to a .22! :azuki:
