Add in Conquer Co-op
Please add in Conquer mode for Sandstorm for a non-linear co-op experience. Checkpoint mode has reached its peak and its getting boring for me. And people seem to be speed-running it nowadays even in the previous Ins. Some of the times it leaves you little to no opportunity for action when you are left behind from other players who have already cleared the enemies on the way to the next objective.

Conquer mode was the best co-op mode in the previous Insurgency because it doesn't run out of action, has a lot unexpected scenarios and it's very challenging in many maps especially Ministry (Night is much harder) which I think some regulars to the mode would agree that they would replay the map if they didnt succeed in it,

I spent a lot of my playtime in Ins in this mode alone. In this mode we could play 5 rounds per map if we didn't succeed before picking a new map. And we have a choice to replay the same map if we are determined to finish that map in Brutal difficulty. I don't think I'm alone saying this but we would play it for hours non-stop.

Please add it for Sandstorm.

Was Conquer the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mode where everyone sprints to one objective, half of 'em die in the taking of it - then the survivors all sprint to the next objective where all but one or two die? And you end up with the first objective being re-capped thirty seconds after you leave?

Nooooooo thank you, buddy.

The way you described it makes me think that you haven't play the mode enough in the previous game. I have a lot of hours in this mode and I can say that players I come across playing with don't sprint most of the time. Almost not at all because we all treat every place, every corner as hostile.

Those who do sprint are those who are already aware of the map objectives and build up fast reactions to any threat they face at any situation. If they die, they usually don't mind waiting for respawn most of the time.

For me, I treat the mode like a target practice, I set my goal to play this mode to practice my reflexes to kill enemies as fast as possible with a single shot or more if needed, while trying to cap objectives. I treated as that ever since. And I find it fun all the time.

No, conquer was the mode where everyone stays on the cap they spawned on till they die, while one or two people actually go out to cap the other objectives/destroy caches and when they die because nobody backs them up, the guys at the initial cap eventually realise that the game won't end unless they capture all points, then they die because they camp in a building halfway between caps not realising that there is no end to the bots

And that is basically the point of this mode. I get a lot of times where I'm the last man standing and go cap a point and respawn the team. Then go back to hunt caches to weaken the enemy waves. It has some sort of teamwork in this mode to win and intuitively, players would decide themselves and communicate with each others of what they would do, like defending cap, captuing what next and whos gonna hunt caches.

This probably will be added in the near future I think. In fact, I was going to say that maybe we'll see this post release so everyone in co-op is forced into fewer games which makes for good testing and feedback delivering to NWI but honestly, I wouldn't mind if the playerbase was split between two game modes. It probably wouldn't be 50/50 as I don't see Conquer being anywhere near as popular as Checkpoint but..

Well, I hate the (relatively) high player limit in Checkpoint. Said it a bunch of times in a bunch of threads and I'll say it again: four people in Checkpoint is more than enough for me. More just makes people rush and act stupid, especially because they know it's unlikely the whole team will wipe and be forced to play a new round.

Let's get Conquer in then. I'll be hoping that some of these idiots stay in there for a good long while. Or at least until we get community servers.

I'm always up for more modes, added variety is good and it seems like the community is ready to test out other things.

Hopefully the devs are getting to the point of releasing more, I mean at this point they were originally supposed to have released the game so hopefully we'll have a big update soon.

However it's probably hard to release new modes and map while trying to optimize and fix all that needs fixing...

What I wanna know is this:

This is supposed to be a successor to the original insurgency.

The original insurgency had a crap ton of amazing game modes for both coop and pvp.

This “new and improved” version is basically a fashion show with stripped features from the original.

Wtf?

You gotta give it time dude, you think the first Insurgency got to the point it currently is on day one?

I took years for all the stuff to get into the game.

They have to start from scratch with the UE4 so take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chile pill or whatever drug you need to chill the ♥♥♥♥ out, maybe go date a few asian girls... cuz it's gonna take a while for this game to get finished to the level the old Insurgency is at currently. Same hapeened with DOI...

Release sdk during beta, let players work on conquer modes and maps. Devs will have more manpower and time to optimise in time for launch this way.

Ya would be nice but I'm guessing they won't do it until they've worked on it for a little longer...

agree, I want conquer mode, this mode is more tactical rather than just rushing to the next piont like checkpoint mode
Valérian Nov 23, 2018 @ 5:20am
OP, yes totally agree ... +1000

NWI, add Conquer back at the very least, this mode is much better and is less restrictive than (boring) Checkpoint.

Checkpoint: go from A to B to C etc.*yawn*

Conquer: spread out and go to whatever the f-c-k you want just cap objectives and blow up sh!tt

I agree that another game mode like conquer would prolong my coop experience. Once again i have to agree with the fact that people are just running through the checkpoint games which make it alot less fun.

Conquer sucked on public servers and there was a reason that most private servers did checkpoint only. Players don't understand the concept of these game modes, making it harder on people who know whats going on.
