Drum mags?
Don't these kind of render the gunner role redundant? Why would I use a bulky, slow, heavy M249 when I can just slap a 50 round drum mag on my M4?

I feel like this attachment should be made exclusive to the gunner class. Actually would be nice to have some alternatives to the M249 and PKM.

Because the M249 still has four times the ammo and a much higher firerate?

Drum Mags are now only in Coop gamemodes anyway so it's not even an issue anymore.

That being said, some alternative prinaries for Gunner is a must. I think the Galil model is actually in-game already so that could be a possible choice, as well as maybe an RPK or an M240B (for a LMG firing a battle-rifle caliber like the PKM).

Maybe drum mags could need more time to be reloaded, in the end they have to much weight compared with the designed mags to use in the weapon... call it "adjust time" not the same reload the normal mag than a double weight and size mag, you need more time to reload.... you have more mag duration BUT you increase the reload time.

Even is possible have reduced mag for at leat M16, 20 rounds mag, with a faster reload time for example.

Drum mags feel a bit silly, you get 7 of them with most rifles and they reload pretty fast.
They probably souldnt even be in the game for most weapons.

Problem is balance, if you want reload less times you need less mags+bigger reload time, now mags for non MGs offer the best of both worlds, big shell count per mag from MGs but the fast reload and more mag numbers from assault guns.

What about made that big mags for assault guns ALLWAYS need the animation to put first bullet in the chamber??? not allways assault guns need this action to be ready to fire.

Now I can’t use my demolition loadout with an M16 with drum mags and a grenade launcher! Why can’t I have my oversized weapons! :(
