because a camouflage smock is better than a flannel shirt at concealing yourself and keeping warm
however if that happened in game teamkilling would be unbearable
But the Insurgents in the game seem pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ commited to liquidating Security forces. They go on full-on assaults with mortars, chemical weapons and bomb drones.
Perhaps some thawbs which are commonly worn in the region would make sense, ay?
nike's...... duh
In INS2, PMC a.k.a. secury wore desert camo uniforms and the insurgents had woodland camo clotches, which made both teams seperable enough. In Sandstorm however, the customisation is limited to fit the balance between the teams, so there's less team-killing.
Honestly, I still think it was a terrible idea to give Security woodland camo in sandstorm, I think they all should have remained with desert / mountain type light camos while insurgents should have gotten woodland and other darker tone clothes with camo.
I wouldn't mind a couple of solid color military blouses, leather jackets, and Heavy Insurgent's sweater making a return.
That being said, It's probably for the better that camouflage vs no camouflage be a decent indicator. I don't doubt that modders will change the skins of certain items though.
There will always be time for Cheeki Breeki when commander calls for chem mortars though!

i would like to see some more "rough" looking clothes for the insurgents though, as the "roughest" top i have is a very plain and clean hoodie
assuming the conflict background is insipired by recent event in syria/iraq (canceled female kurds story). I would agree that current insurgent looks too civies. maybe they can make them looks meaner and military looking or atleast add customization for it at higher level.
