Helicopter wiping spawn.
Huge wave spawned just to be wiped out by enemy helicpter. Shouldn't there be spawn protection for a few seconds to allow us to get to cover first? It was pretty instant with nothing we could do.
Helicopter probably killed 7 people in a volley right after spawning.

This really needs a fix. xD

Had this issue in the first beta against bots I believe, we all spawned in and got blasted to pieces. It was honestly hilarious but should be fixed.

agreed need spawn protection at least 3 - 5 seconds.

Agreed - my whole team got wiped by a rocket barrage upon spawn as well

Helicopter attack is beyond players' control. However, you get personal kill feed when you die, so if you got spawn killed you will see who did it. Then it's only a matter of vote-banning.

What I mean is, of course it is beyond our control, but if you are invulnerable for 3-5 seconds right when you spawn, it would allow you to not have an entire wave wiped from spawning into a volley of missles.

Many games do this for similar reasons.

I really hope they fix it.

You become vulnerable 5 seconds after spawning so you will die 5 seconds after spawning. Increasing spawn-invulnerability timer wouldn't solve spawn-killing problem - spawn-killers would just wait that amount of time before attacking.

There are a whole slew of unsportsmanly things people can do, and you can't create an algorithm to stop them all, let alone to close every single tiny loophole that would let them bypass their comeuppance. You just need to give people ability to vote to expel people out the server.

Dying on spawn due to enemy fire is realistic. Spawn camping is a valid tactic used by real pros. Get over it.

More like its a tactic used by map exploiting jerks that would rather take advantage of programming issues as opposed to competeing with class. Always a lame looking to take advantage of situations.

I forgot to add /s. Of course, devs should think about fixing crap like that ASAP. I'm surprised they let the game go into the beta without a proper spawncamping fix/solution.

Yeah I’m pretty sure he’s implying there needs to be that feature in the game instead of a spawn invulnerability.

To solve the helicopter problem, just make it so they don't attack players in a certain radius around the spawn. At least for a few seconds after spawning so it doesn't become abusable.

Yeah. Case in point: in the last game there is a short spawn invulnerability and it lasts indefinitely as long as you don't move. In there, spawn campers would just wait a short while before attacking, that's all it did.

Trying to solve trolling by tweaking watchdog algorithms is like trying to save a sinking ship by optimizing the shape of the bucket used for water removal.
