Why are you watching the frame counter?
I find if I play the game and forget the frame rate, it seems a lot better.

specs?

Make sure shadows are on low, ambient occlusion is off and texture streaming is off (assuming you have a decent GPU). If you are still suffering huge fps drops like you have described blame the game, your hardware or both.

Specs or you can go and ask for help elsewhere.

This game has issues for sure. I have issues, my friend has issues and you and many others have mentioned major frames issues. So there is for sure a issue with this game.

What is your RAM speed and is it running in dual-channel mode? You should have 2 sticks in 1st and 3rd slot (or in 2nd and 4th), depending on your motherboard.

Check your GPU usage. If it's low, reinstall Nvidia drivers using DDU (highly recommended).

Install HWInfo64, check the temperatures of CPU and GPU. You can set graphs to see if the CPU is dropping clocks under stress resulting in bad frames.

Turn-off Texture streaming, set your scope setting to Normal.

Disable full screen optimizations at .exe (InsurgencyClient-Win64-Shipping.exe) at ''\Steam\steamapps\common\sandstorm\Insurgency\Binaries\Win64'' .Right click>properties>compatibility. It helps a lot of ppl.

According to him, 9700k + vega56 + ddr4 16gb @3200cl14 + 2tb nvme is a potato and its my rigs fault at stuttery mess of this game. Although all the other games runs fine.

Ram speed makes minimal difference on Intel, ryzen it greatly affects though.
