Loadouts and cosmetics are gone

I just reinstalled my OS to a new hard drive, and then I found my loadouts and cosmetics were reset to default. I'm surprised that they were not stored in the cloud. Is there a way to bring them back?

I am looking for answer too. I reset my PC almost every month and I need to configure the loadout every time.

Hmmm, I know those are saved in json files in local app data. Maybe the new json files created when you reinstalled Sandstorm were automatically set to default, and this overwrote the cosmetics and load outs saved on the server?
Another thing is, switching between the CTE and Vanilla versions will cause similar issues to this: having the wrong cosmetics and wrong credit amount. These issues are fixed automatically by leveling up. The difference is, I don’t know that unlocked cosmetics and credit amounts are saved in a local file as well as the server or just on the server.

yeah, I have copied the AppData\Local\Insurgency\Saved folder back. Now the loadouts are ok, but cosmetics are not, guess I'll re-configure it after then.

From the latest patch notes under Known Issues:
Cosmetics, Cosmetic Presets and keybindings do not seem to be synchronized on the Steam Cloud.

with V1.2 you had the chance to use a workaround. -> make everything in the menu loadout config, then open a private game and just change one (saving, deleting etc) and they are there after restart. with 1.3 it is not working for me anymore but I heard from other people that this is still working. you could give it a try.

This is your problem as you are not supposed to reset your PC every month.

Did you only lose your presets or did you completely lose all cosmetics, i.e. will now have to buy them again?
