2: Damage is based on bullet weight and velocity, penetration is displayed in the loadout menu. Faster bullets do more damage.
3: The bullet is hitscan for a bit then becomes a projectile after a certain amount of time. The faster the bullet is the less it drops. Yes it does have damage falloff. Some weapons take 2 shots close up and 3 far away.
2. penetration is exactly that, how well your bullets go through objects. wood (like doors, tables, door frames including walls), thin steel (like cars, steel frames and sheet metal) can be penetrated by all 5.56 weapons. 7.62 sometimes can go through some concrete/brick walls. pistols and smgs will only go through some sheet metal and wooden objects. the 2 weapons that have highest penetration in game are the anti material sniper rifles and the heavy machine gun on the back of the truck. those 2 can go through more than one concrete wall sometimes.
3. damage fall off is over distance. the smaller the weapon/shorter the barrel the quicker the damage falls off. considering the longer barreled weapons are also larger calibres, they tend to fall off less while still being lethal. however bare in mind that shot placement is still key.
nearly all this can be tested at the fireing range in the tutorial section.
Higher weight more recoil??
Makes no sense.
The more weight you have on your character, the less recoil you get. This has been in the game for a long time now.
Damage fall off is also depends by the muzzle velocity, like both M16s which have muzzle velocity of 960 m/s will shoot relatively straight within 96 m, considering the first 100 ms of the bullet travel time uses some kind of hitscan before the bullet starts to drop with damage fall off.
Not exactly, they made it so the machine guns have a lower ADS despite what their weight would normally make it.
Yeah, LMGs have intended long ass ADS
"more weight = more recoil" makes far more sense than "less weight = more recoil" does.
This game does have a wiki. Exact values might be there.
In the beta, the update of November 8th change logs. There has been so many people who don't believe me when I say more weight = less recoil. Ive had to link so many people the same thing all the time in the Steam disscussions. Trust me, more weight does reduce your recoil.
Eh, their wiki still lists the M005 as a handgun. Extremely outdated.
Oh well. Lol
