Dota 2 edge-panning?

I've noticed a lot of players moving their screens by moving their mouse to the ends of the screen.

I've never found this useful, and I've always used my middle-mouse because to me, it's much faster especially when trying to last hit.

Although I've never done edge-panning, im a decent player nonetheless. Is it wrong that im not edge-panning?

no its not wrong, it is just your preferred way of doing things. I personally like using edge-pan because that is what i am used to.

Ah, thanks for your response. Overall, I like using the Middle-Mouse because it's very fast and accurate, and I find edge-panning no problem, just a bit unnatural in the way I usually play.

i use my mouse buttons as item hotkeys instead.

Wow, played for over 300 hours and im still learning daily, never knew you could use mouse3 to move the camera

I honestly use both for different things, along with clicking on the minimap. I don't think there's anything wrong with what you're doing, as long as it works for you!

Old thread, but yeah. I overall find using the middle mouse more precise and faster in life or death situations that require constant attention to your screen.

I just use wasd to move my camera. its just a easier thing to remember. its proven to save me in life or death a lot.

It's definitely not "wrong" by any means. There are very few (if any) control choices you could make that would actually make you play worse. It's really just personal preference. I use edge pan because I've played RTS games since I was 8 or 9 years old, but to each their own!

i sometimes use it but only when im zoomed out to 1600. its way to close otherwise.
