graphics in LoL are TERRIBLE, characters dont have even lip sync animation, because they are stiff and lifeless, they dont make any expressions and have 0 interaction voice lines, cheap trash game for people who can;t afford computer to play real game like dota.
no weather effects lightning or trees, that game is literally TRASH.

You'd be surprised on how many league players thought the same the first time they played dota. I mean, as a player of both games i constantly switch between both games depends on me and my friend's mood...

Aesthetics are entirely a matter of personal taste, and DotA is ALSO free so I'm not really sure why that's a concern.

Personally, from what I've read, DotA has a significantly different more complex set of mechanics, a steeper learning curve, and a different design philosophy, all of which I like. And since I've already invested so much in DotA, I'm not likely to switch.

Also DotA is less popular so I get that sweet sweet hipster cred :P

I would 100% say Dota is better, however I do want you to realize that 119 IQ is still plenty high (91% percentile), and you left that as an option for LoL players.... so it is a kind of a weak insult.

More to the point, there are two aspects that I value in Dota. The deeper build choices (enabled by powerful items, Talents, and Aghanims), and the superior audio. Dota has a more 'punchy' audio feedback for spells and the like, and the 'music packs' result in a fantastic dynamic mix that can be customized to my taste.

in LoL every hero plays like adrenaline junkie, aka windranger, run in, use spells, die. dota requires carefully planning, because cooldowns arent that spammable like in LoL, there are powerful ults but they have long cds, teamfights often consists of engaging, disengaging and counter-attacking, because characters are more durable, you don't want stay in that monkey king big aoe ult. you dont want to be caught in enigma or magnus or void ult, design of the game just simply involves much more strategy.

i have feeling that OP just secretely wishes to convince him that dota is better.

about companies...i have really big dubt valve is better, simply look the forum, they don't use it, left it to people that can ban you any time for say something they don't like, tecnical support is completly useless since every time you have a problem they are not able to solve it and basically is always the player fault, no matter if you have literaly the nasa pc, for them the proble is your pc or connection, every single time.
they have 1 of the worst anti cheat sistem that work maybe just on CSO? the rest is completly uncontrolled, they can decide to cancel your account just becasue they want giving you a non sense justification,and i can continue with many others stuff, price and bla bla bla.
epic games platform or amazon games are better in many aspect, and even tecnical service is better, valve is just 1 of the oldest so still have power for treat you like a ♥♥♥♥ actually.
