Is there any hero who, umm, counter spells?

Well razor kind of does that since damages and purges people who cast spells on him.

i think Spectre? because all sorts of damage done to Mercurial will always reflect to nearby enemy units, unless the unit being reflected of damaged is under the BKB buff

Tiny's craggy doesn't work against spells neither does timbersaw gain stacks from spells.

I guess he really meant like Lotus Orb, counterspell reflecting the whole skill, not only damage or purge or anything... I guess Rubick would do, you steal the spell and cast it back. Other than that, there is none.

Would Weaver count? With his ult he counters everything, kind of, including spells.

Omni's Repel works to debuff and grants invulnerability to spells. Closest thing to a counter, I'd say.

Silencer (Silence), Rubick (Magic Resistance Aura), Omniknight (Repel) and any other heroes that have silencing spells, magic resistance or mana draining, like Pudge, Anti-Mage, Skywrath Mage etc. Orchid Malevolence is very helpful against magic dependant heroes too.

rubick and nyx the only ones who can do stuff like that. Nyx reflects the damage back and rubick can use the spell on them. Those 2 and pugna pretty much the only ones who can punish for spellcasting.

Oracle can purge buffs with his Fortune's End.

OD can't counter spells per se, but he's able to take so much INT from someone that the hero might be unable to cast anything at all.

Night Stalker insane 8 seconds silence is very annoying.

Carl's EMP is also another annoying spell that will drain your mana.

Nyx's reflection is exactly what I am looking for. ... ... don't really want it on Nyx, but I'll keep an eye out for it if he's in ability draft
