While bkb does allow some part of spell to go through unless the spell specifically allows to counter bkb it's usually doesn't even worth casting into bkb target. So I wouldn't consider it counterargument for buying bkb.
But that doesnt mean you are never going to buy bkb, if the enemy team is too heavy on stuns and disables, like shaman and lion with shaker, or if your team is too low on the same and you need to be the front line because of allies picks or you feel like you need it, a bkb its always a good option, maybe not the best one, but definitely not bad.
