making shadow blade is noob??

im using slark and my early items was : thread boot,,bassilus,, 2 branch,, when i make shadow blade after,, my team said im noob :(,, we won the game where my final item was : thread boot,, bassilus,, shadow blade,,skadi abysall,,and butterfly with 30/3/15. why calling noob shadow blade on slark?? i did saw pro playing slark with blink,, but because im not pro,, im making shadow for easy sneaking,, roaming single farming enemy heroes and it add stat rather than blink. i dont get it. :(

yes sir, it is on my item list choice too. maybe i will use it too, thanks for sharing. i have a reason on picking sb for my initiation tool instead of blink which is u already noticed is the damage and the attck speed. i need solo kill on early game for more gold and exp. but dagger is a good mobile item too,, since move from 1 camp to another (jungle farm) is a time shortcut, good initiation tool, and help escape after the shadow dance. i will try to using it :). thanks again sir. but plz dont call noob sb on slark, its a matter of choice right?

I didn't call it a noob item. I just like blink dagger in general over shadow blade. SB has its uses, but I personally don't really like it. It's up to you.

Tell them to MYOB(mind your own business0 Lothar is the best item for ganking. It's legit on slark. Somerimes even core items

Slark is like the only hero on which shadow blade is really good. I still prefer blink or force staff because I find it offers more escape but SB is good if you want to gank without smoke or scout before teamfights.

Shadow Blade can be a viable item for Slark but like most items, it depends on what heroes you play with and play against.

If you are playing with other heroes with innate invisibility (Clinkz, Riki, Bounty Hunter, Mirana, Treant, ...), Lothars is often a poor choice. It gives the enemy even more reasons to buy detection to the point, where it doesn't give you much besides the damage and attack speed (3k gold only for that is rather inefficient).

If you are the only hero on your team with invisibility, picking up a Lothar's forces the other team to spend additional gold on detection. When you pick it up, you will have the opportunity to get a good pickoff with it, because it will catch the other team off guard the first time. And unless they group up the entire game, you will repeatedly be able to get pickoffs, because not everybody carries detection all the time.

Also, Shadow Blade gives Slark more versatility. You can scout with Lothars, you can deward sentries, it's an unreliable but additional way to escape. Sometimes you might just be able to use it during a (longer) teamfight, heal up while invisible and reengage. You can also initiate with it and running around with max movement speed for 14 seconds really gets you around the map...

But again, Shadow Blade just like S+Y, BKB or Linken's is a situational item. Just be smart when to pick it up and you'll be allright.

hey this reminds me when i were new i made shadow blade on dk and all went like u go lothar ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dk u reported for being a nub... yeh kind of what it sounded like then when i watch my first competetive match i see a dk with a shadow blade and were like aha.

you can better invest this gold than sb, like bkb, butter etc. slark have ulty that works better than sb. basically everything that make you more durable as slark is better than sb. sb builds are only viable on low skill games, havent seen slark with it for long time, only few drows, but these sucked miserable.

shadowblade gives slark the burst he needs since he is pretty much countered by TP, ofcourse if you can get it fast. basher helps countering TP's but basher as a first item doesnt really help slark snowballing. shadowblade on slark is pretty much the only hero you can use it as a pseudo escape unlike other viable shadowblade carriers.

i did sir, for skadi, abysal and butterfly. my sb just work at early game as u noticed. it just to help me early solo kill for my next build.
