-some random reddit dude
1. Chasing down heroes mid-game.
2. Winning lanes.
3. Tanking hits while running away.
BB has three fatal flaws.
1. No innate stun.
2. Dependent on passive for tankiness and damage.
3. Needs to rush your face to kill you.
Let's neutralize his strengths and take away his weaknesses.
1. Bristle spams spells in lane to get LHs + damage to enemy heroes. Stick/Wand is good to limit his damage.
2. If Britsle tries to solo gank, carry TP.
3. Play heroes with high regen, self-sustain, and/or high armor like TB, Timber, DK, Nyx, FV, Lycan, BS, or Doom (after eating a Jungle creep).
4. Play heroes with hasted movespeed like Lycan, Dark Seer, or Weaver.
5. Don't let Bristle rush face. Build force staff to save those affected by Slow and use atos on Bristle. Good heroes are the standard anti-facerush heroes (Disruptor, Naga, BS, CM, ET, Kunkka, Axe) as well as the anti-melee heroes (Underlord, Razor, Viper).
6. Bristle cannot tank vs. frontal hits. Heroes that force him to face front are Axe and LC. Heroes that can easily get in front of him include most invisibility heroes not named Riki, but Weaver and WR do it best.
7. Bristle cannot tank without his passive. Natural Shadowblade users like Arc Warden, Slark, Doom, or LC could consider an early silver edge against him. Natural sources of Break (Doom with Aghs or Silver Edge, Viper, Pango, and SD with Aghs) are also effective.
8. Bristle's quills are physical damage. Heroes that reduce physical damage like Tide, take no physical damage (Necrophos, Pugna) or heroes that normally build crimson guard (Axe, Underlord, Centaur) are effective against him, especialy in lane.
9. Bristle needs to spam his spells to be effective. Heroes that can either instantly silence him or punish him for using low CD spells are strong (Silencer, FV, DP, Sky), especially in lane.
What not to use:
1. Heroes that depend on spell immunity/shield or physical evasion to survive (Jugg, LS, PA, Ember).
2. Mid and safelane cores that are melee (or effectively close to it) that prefer stat, farming, or mobility items over silver edge as their first big core item. (Luna, TA, AM, Gyro, and bad Slark, Morph players)
3. Heroes whose close-range DoT combos or backstab mechanics are punished by Bristle's passive (Riki, Bat, core Veno).
4. Greedy players
a. Only build damage items (see most 2k players on any core, but especially common on PA, Sniper, Morphling, and LC)
b. Try to solo kill BB (mid-game, Bristle has double the health of most PA/Slark/SF/Lina/QoP)
c. use their saving spell/wand too liberally in lane to farm/intiiate/heal (slark pounce, morphling's Q, FV timewalk, AM/PA/QoP leap, MK stun, silencer Q and E and ult) rather than to save self and allies.
Keep it simple, get legion commander and have her scout for him. She'll eaarn easy duels and deal with this bristle. Also, if he decided to get a linkens, then get abyssal blade and pop that silly item.
Hey... this is a good idea. The damage amp occurs as its own proc after the fact
I like this one too
