- make sure the body parts are in the order in which they are on top of each other, with the part on top of the list appearing in front of parts lower in the list.
- make sure a body part lower in the list (behind) does not have a lower letter next to it. eg if you want the head to be in front and it is top of the list but has the letter "C" next to it, make use all the parts lower than it on the list have a "C" or "D" next to the and not an "A" or "B"
- In terms of which wrestler appears in front of the other, in the table at the bottom one of the columns is to do with wrestler display priorities. Make sure the wrestler you want to appear in front is labelled "A" and the other wrestler is labelled "B" or "C" etc.
Once you get the hang of these basics, you can then move into the more complicated stuff like how you want one wrestler to appear behind the other, but with one of their arms in front of the other wrestler, etc. That's where the part priorities come into play.
I've gotten all jammed up with the S flag thing a couple times, as well, and nothing else seems to produce the same effect without also being fairly obvious, so it's become one of those things that jumps out at me when I see someone else puzzling over it
