Move craft part priority issues.
I've probably mentioned something like this before when making a submission move. The issue is where certain parts should appear either in front of or behind other parts, mostly in relation to the other wrestler. I'm trying to make a leg drop with a pin, and although another version of the leg drop turned out alright, this one is stumping me.

The move looks fine in the editor, all the parts are layered properly, but once I get into ringside check, the attacker totally overlaps the defender or vice versa. And nothing I do, whether it's changing the letters in the frames or in the parts themselves or moving the shadow up and down the Y axis seems to fix it. The only thing that changes is which wrestler is appearing on top of the other, but I want the attacker's lower body totally obscured by the defender, while the upper arm of the attacker appears behind the hooked leg while the forearm and hand appears in front.

Here's a screenshot of the editor with a shot from ringside check for comparison: https://prnt.sc/10lnghs

Hello a few things I suggest:

- make sure the body parts are in the order in which they are on top of each other, with the part on top of the list appearing in front of parts lower in the list.

- make sure a body part lower in the list (behind) does not have a lower letter next to it. eg if you want the head to be in front and it is top of the list but has the letter "C" next to it, make use all the parts lower than it on the list have a "C" or "D" next to the and not an "A" or "B"

- In terms of which wrestler appears in front of the other, in the table at the bottom one of the columns is to do with wrestler display priorities. Make sure the wrestler you want to appear in front is labelled "A" and the other wrestler is labelled "B" or "C" etc.

Once you get the hang of these basics, you can then move into the more complicated stuff like how you want one wrestler to appear behind the other, but with one of their arms in front of the other wrestler, etc. That's where the part priorities come into play.

I'll try putting the parts in order, but I've messed around with the display priority and it doesn't seem to have much of an effect in this case.

My guess is you have an errant S flag in there somewhere, and they're not intertwining because they're technically separated

I thought that might have been the case with a submission move I made, but I didn’t see one here(the last I looked, I don’t have the game on atm).

Did you check both the attacker and defender's animation lists?
AxeBomber Mar 14, 2021 @ 6:17pm
I just did and yep, the defender had two S flags. I should have known since I copied over the pinning animation from the other move and it had more frames than the original. Damn, I'm always making out like whatever issue I come across is going to be the most complex, impossible to solve thing and it ends up being something simple that I overlooked. Thanks and sorry for the hassle.

Naw dude, I know how that is. There's a lot to pay attention to, and so a lot that's easy to overlook

I've gotten all jammed up with the S flag thing a couple times, as well, and nothing else seems to produce the same effect without also being fairly obvious, so it's become one of those things that jumps out at me when I see someone else puzzling over it
