Fire Pro Wrestling Returns vs Fire Pro Wrestling World
Now that FPW is in full release we can ask this question of which game is better. Fire Pro Wrestling Returns or Fire Pro Wrestling World?

I honestly still think that Fire Pro Wresting Returns is the better game. In a perfect world we would have Fire Pro Returns with that same roster or wrestlers, the logo editor, upgraded graphics to where FPW is, ability to use custom music, and ability to upload ring logos. Also throw in the ability to use edits in the manager mode in Returns.

That would be the perfect game.

A combination of the best of these two games.

** I like the customization options in FPW but other than that I like everything else better in Fire Pro Returns. FPR is a game you can just pick up and play without making an edit or customizaing anything. Hours and hours of gameplay with 300 REAL wrestlers. Awesome! **

People drop madden and go back to playing Tecmo Superbowl. People drop WWE 2k and go back to play WWF No Mercy. And people will drop Fire Pro World and go back to play Fire Pro Returns.. all for the same reason.

Not everyone that plays Fire Pro are Modders or Editors that create Fighters, Rings, etc. People that just want to PLAY the game will go back to FPR.

I love FPW but the only think I'm doing with the game now is creating and simulating matches. I don't even play the game. Soon that will get old.

FPR I can pick up and play without worrying about making edits.

Fact!

There's a big reason I'll never play Fire Pro Wrestling Returns: as much as I hate consoles, I hate Playstation a LOT more.

I'm a keyboard warrior and Fire Pro Wrestling World is SUPERIOR in EVERY WAY: modding, workshop, creating rings, creating belts. You simply can't beat that!

That's a good answer. I guess my question is more for console gamers than pc gamers.

What if Fire Pro Returns came to Steam and allowed for customization and modding? Would you still play FPW world more than FPR??

Is there anything I can do to help you expediate that process? The sooner you become bored with this game, the bettter.

The first thing that modders would do, and I speak as what is pretty much the only modder in the community, so if there was an authority on such a thing, I am it, is turn the game into FPW...so on that note, what's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ point? It's an uphill climb to something that already exists for no reason.

Nothing is stopping you from playing the game other than yourself. Myself and many others continue to play the game enthusiastically.

OK, read slowly, re-read, let the words get to that grey mass in your skull:

To be fair, creating belts may be the one place that FPR has FPW beat...

Soooo... when we stop and think about it we can find things in FPR that are better than FPW huh?

Congratulations!

#proudofyou

/ belts, gradients, and 328 wrestlers already in the game /

Gradients are not better than the system we have now, that was said as a joke because so many people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about when it was revealed they were being left out.

Belts are it for me. The rest couldn't carry World's jock on a bad day for World.

belts, for sure, could be better, sure

outside of dudes making wild edits like skulltrauma, gradients were a way around technical limitations. given the choice between gradients and having 9 layers per part of the body, i'll take the new layer system

oh, and 328 wrestlers that barely anyone used, because they were woefully out of date, their logic was lacking, they had stopped being regulars in any major or minor promotion, and so on... harp on that all you want, but 328 built-in wrestlers and a finite number of edit slots is no comparison to an effectively infinite number of edits that you can just grab off of the steam workshop with a click of a button

smh at rushydarabbit, droppin' the ball with his trolling, smh rn tbh

Everyone can bash Fire Pro Wrestling Returns all you want, I still say it's the best pure wrestling game ever created. Better than the 2k Series, better than WWF No Mercy (WCW/NWO Revenge), and better than Fire Pro World.

That's my expert opinion the matter and no one will change that.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is great for creating and simulating creations but Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is better for playing the game. This can not be disputed!

I'm disputing it, Mr. Fire Pro Expert

World has some cooler new features that build upon the gameplay that has been the standard since Fire Pro D. Okite Yaburi/finisher stealing is a great new feature as are the improvements to recovering from a hit, like the ability to crawl away now; and being able to slide towards the ropes to escape a submission. The added dedicated button for pins on the ground also expands upon your options for what to do when an opponent is down. you can actually have a decent number of weardown submissions without sacrificing down attacks or pins, now. Plus the strike exchanges offer a much more rewarding struggle between your friends and the CPU than the test of strength (though that's still in game).

They also adjusted the CPU difficulty so that, at higher levels, you're not inundated with unwinnable ToS sequences, while still making the CPU aggressive and far more responsive than on other, easier difficulty levels.
