Yeah it's in the pause menu.
I think you are going into this game with expectations of it playing like something you are already familiar with.
I have a FAQ up on GameFAQs, it is very much geared towards helping new players. Here's a link: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/206648-fire-pro-wrestling-world/faqs/76355
It's not the first time I've seen the learning curve throw many a new player into an angry tirade in my last 23 years of Fire Pro gaming
In all honestly, it is indeed the wrong attitude to come into a message board with. Just coming to piss and moan and curse.
But, a lot of us enjoy the series. For me, I like helping others and new players enjoy it as well.
To say they are "ground moves from" sounds a bit misleading. The MMA positions are nothing more than grapples with equal opportunities for both players. The moves themselves are not counter-able, the grapples/positions are.
Outside of moves done from a mount position, all other moves will still have a chance of being reversed automatically. For corner grapples, this usually manifests in a brainbuster reversal, for example.
