Fire Promoter Mode review! (UPDATED)

Have not bought it on steam only have it on ps4 as it was included in the purchase. Key points:

- Can NOT use more than 6 wrestlers in a federation even if you have more. (so far)
- Can NOT use custom rings. (at least not as far as we got)
- Can use custom edits and custom federations.
- Creates Titles belts for your federations.
- Is not like a gm or universe mode. Your game can end in the first month then you have to start over. (can go bankrupt)
- Can simulate and/or play the matches.
- Talent from other federations often turn down offers to wrestle in your federation. (early on)
- No custom logos for your federations.


Is something new to the game but definitely not a MUST BYE.

After playing through a few years the review continues.

This mode needs to be upgraded to have more options / more user control.

These are the options it needs:

- Ability to control all Promotions. It looks like its set up to be able to do this but how is the question.

- Ability to turn on / off Retirements. It's very frustrating to have champions all of a sudden retire in year 2. The retirements seem to be random and made the mode die for us in year 2 as most champions retired.

- Ability to have more than just one type of match on a card. Not all cages, or regular matches.

- Ability to use custom arenas. Probably would never happen because of the sponsor logos that appear but there should be an option anyway. Still there should be the ability to use the custom rings and maybe put the custom logos somewhere else other than on the ring mats. Or turn off sponsor logos with custom arenas.

- Ability to use custom titles in Promoter Mode. Currently there is no option at all for making women's titles or and additional heavy weight title.

** For a game that boasts the ability to "fully customize" a mode that is DLC needs to have customization to it. Not just take it as it is and/or wait for someone to mod it. **

From what I've seen you upgrade your gym or something to increase your roster size

I can't play at the moment, you can add 16 promotions in the Promoter Mode, but the wrestlers of the other promotions who got left out are going all to Free Agents without exception?

Yes figured that out as well. Then there is a cheat to allow more wrestlers in the promotion as well. L1 / L2 + X (ps4 controller)

No, if the promotion is not included in the 16, the wrestlers in those promotions are excluded from the mode entirely.

you can increase the roster by upgrading the gym and offering contracts to free agents/wrestlers from other promotions. Also you need to use scouts to find more wrestlers in the free agent zone. Which is great because you have time to establish every guy on your roster while in time adding more of them as new contenders. You can't have custom rings because there is sponsors in the mode that when you get them their product apears on your ring. Also it's really simple to run a good promotion and recieve lots of money so the bankrupt is really hard to do. when your company is more popular/bigger it's easier to buy talent from other styles and countries than your promotion. The mode added match styles like showman, kings road, lucha, strong style etc..Fun to see wrestlers actually simulating a match (looking at opponents health. limbs that are hurt more and attacking them specificly.
This is more of an tycoon than universe mode. but Fire pro wrestling never needed hand holding like universe mode. Like g1, you start one and begin your roleplay experience by watching awesome simulated matches. Same goes for fire promoter. It is what it is. i would say i like what it has become over few years of playing it. Now i''m in year 4 and my rank is 5 (will increase soon) , few promotions have closed (bankrupt). My championships have prestige and only the best can win it. And trust me when i tell you, every number 1 contender had a good chance of winning the belt, while also making a story of it. Like climbing up from the jobbers pit back to the top.

After playing a few seasons this mode has let to us playing League mode instead of Fire Promoter Mode.
