Which controller should I get for this game?

I have a Xbox 360 Controller but the D-pad is horrible.

I am deciding whether to get the Microsoft Xbox One Elite Controller or the Sony PS4 Dualshock Controller & need your input?

The Sony PS4 controller is $47 & the Microsoft Xbox One Elite Controller is $160.

I want the best controller to play this game.

I don't think you need an elite controller for the game to be honest. I use my Sea of Thieves xbone controller and it works just fine.

Are you serious? It's not a fighting game, the hell do you need a good d-pad for?
Just use sticks. It's perfectly fine on keyboard too.

Well technically it is a fighting game, but since it relies far more on timing than say, rapid fire long stringed combos, you can pretty much play it with damn near any controller.

Also avoid Logitech F310s; they're fragile as porcelain.

I use a PS4 controller and it works fine for the game. I couldn't imagine you'd need anything "high end".

Any basic pc compatible controller works, you don't need to spend $160 on a high-end controller just to play a $20 game...

I use an old wired Xbox 360 controller and it seems to work fine but I use the joystick rather than the D pad.

Really any well made controller can work, but I'd recommend the PS4 controller if you like using the D Pad, it's in just the right place.

im using a wired 360 controller, and a logitech wireless F710 they work well... does anybody know if the PS4 controller allows touchscreen as mouse style control?

Sticks suck. Use the Dual Shock 4 controller from PS4. Best controller in the industry bar none (it is THE top of the line controller, and worth getting and using). D-Pad for life!

I used DualShock 3 Sixaxis since I purchased this game way back October 15, 2017, until now this is much like you play Fire Pro Wrestling Returns in PlayStation 2 with the addition to the Left Analog Stick functions the same like in D-Pad, L2 and R2 Buttons

I'll clarify, any PlayStation controller does the job. They all have the same base design of D-Pad and buttons, which is what matters. DS3 is indeed just as good as DS4. Just avoid that analogue stick those things are no good for games like this. XBox controllers suck because their cap pad is essentially a hat on a joystick that has no control efficiency. The proper D-Pad and button layout is what's important, and why PlayStation is the top of the line on controllers.

I use usually a generic Logitech F10 controller. Sometimes I use the Steam controller (which I really like for the game as well as Rocket league, and many other games), and sometimes I use a PS4 controller. I've yet to play any Fire Pro game with an X-Box controller, but I imagine it would be fine, maybe even better. I think you'll figure out any controller. The PS4 controller is my least favorite for the game, by the way, but my friend swears by that controller on the game.

Caps suck, don't use them. There is absolutely no way XBox controllers would be better. Proper D-Pad or bust.
