Just use sticks. It's perfectly fine on keyboard too.
Also avoid Logitech F310s; they're fragile as porcelain.

I'll clarify, any PlayStation controller does the job. They all have the same base design of D-Pad and buttons, which is what matters. DS3 is indeed just as good as DS4. Just avoid that analogue stick those things are no good for games like this. XBox controllers suck because their cap pad is essentially a hat on a joystick that has no control efficiency. The proper D-Pad and button layout is what's important, and why PlayStation is the top of the line on controllers.
