The Referee settings can add time to matches if you have a ref with a slower movement/count speed.

Ah ok. Whelp one things I notice is if you have edits that like to pin every 2 seconds you going to get a shorter match. try to sim with wrestlers that don't pin a lot

When my edit is ready I'm going to uplaod it to the workshop. You can download it if you like, he almost never pins lol

read this guide, it's got great info for people who are relatively new to Fire Pro logic and edit creating. http://criticalclub.com/thread/76/thedenizen-carlzillas-original-guide-updated

If you're trying to lengthen matches ...

Limit your means of ending matches.
Lower discretion to force the wrestlers to take breathers later and later.
Adjust ukemi settings.
Use a ref with a slower movement speed and pinfall count.

For what it's worth, I'm not sure what the ref settings are, but I've noticed that the official NJPW edits in the PS4 version can put on 20-30 minute matches on the regular.

So when it comes to ukemi what would help prolong a match?Lower settings in the later stage?Would this also result in more reversals as i am not seeing many late on in a match.Cheers

My edit is now in the worlkshop. Try it, he will give you sometimes a 15 min, 20 min, 30 min, match. I only gave him 2 pins, you don't need to give them all four pins, or give them a move for every slot.

Lower ukemi in low DMG, higher in middle and large. Low doesn't give much of an opportunity to build up the spirit/comeback meter since most of the moves do low damage, medium has a better chance of it but is actually a rather short portion of the match, and large is where all the big moves happen.

Ukemi results in LESS reversals, since whenever the AI uses ukemi it means they're taking a move with the promise of a late-match recovery. Since a wrestler's spirit late in the match is low, they're less focused and more likely to have a move hit them either way. Ukemi boosts that spirit up and also gives them a damage boost.

For what it's worth, I'm curious as to whether Spike Chunsoft might have adjusted something -- I'm seeing a lot more matches that go to epic lengths in the PS4 version, but most of their official NJPW edits have 25/25/25 ukemi. It seems to happen even when I'm using a speedy ref...

I'm new to editing. I read a few post on Ukemi. I wanted to make a Wrestler that was hard to beat in the start and middle of he match, but by the end of the match you can load off on him. So I toyed with Ukemi and it seems like when I gave him lower percent he took more damage and when I gave him high percent he took less damage. Isn't it suppose to be the other way around?

It's all influenced by RNG, really! High ukemi doesn't mean much if the game decides that one person should win all of the grapples in that particular match simulation.

Ah so is Ukemi just a power up that might win the match for you or not? if so, how do you actavite it when you're playing. I heard someone say hold down the L button or something.
sofia ciel Aug 14, 2018 @ 5:19pm
That's basically it, yes.

It automatically activates when you hit 0% HP, or when you're in critical health and kick out at 2.9. To build up the meter, I think you hold down L1/LB while grappling and losing a grapple.

So as once you lose the grapple hold it or you hold it while in the grapple?
sofia ciel Aug 14, 2018 @ 7:35pm
uhh, i believe you hold it while in the grapple. If you win, it does nothing. If you lose, you take the move.
