SWA roster

I could use some help and get some opinions on the SWA roster and who everyone thinks they are a variant of.

Im trying to set up music for them and would be easier if I had a better idea who they are based on, but I cant find any lists to help me

I've always been under the impression that the SWA Roster in World was fictional...based more on styles and stereotypes than actual wrestlers. (Unlike past editions of Fire Pro, where default wrestlers were thinly veiled versions of actual wrestlers.)

Red Dragon - Kenta Kobayashi

Karts Rowdy - Kazuchika Okada

Max Bertrand - Kurt Angle / Alexander Karelyn

Steel Johnson - Steve Williams (besides the look, Steve Williams was known as Steel James in previous Fire Pro games)

Laurence Holland - Low Ki

Dag Boomer - Big Van Vader

Edward Joseph - Davey Boy Smith Jr.

Sam Blocks - Tama Tonga / Tanga Loa

Soji Kanda - Yuji Nagata

Oliver Espadas - Ultimo Dragon

Keeichiro Asakawa - Hiroshi Tanahashi

Alex Thompson - Kassius Ohno

But then who is Blood Angel? Josh Barnett ? Matt Riddle ?

Matt Riddle seems more accurate. A lot of these guys seem to based on modern Wrestlers and were put into the game to avoid copyright issues in place of using the more recognizable faces (like Axe Duggan or The Undead Taylor) from previous games.

They're inspired by, but they're not copies like in previous games.

Somewhat unrelated, but if you're gonna do stuff with the SWA guys, I'd 1000% recommend you use Senator's SWA Renewal roster.

The logic on these edits is updated to make them a bit less jenky. I find them to be MUCH nicer than the defaults.

The back stories are also great. Really breathes life into those edits.

I liken the SWA cast to Human's Blazing Tornado roster. You can see similarities from real life Wrestlers (John Saigon brings to mind Stan Hansen or Jailbreak Bullnoi makes one think of Bam Bam Bigelow and Vader), but, the characters are unique enough appearance and move-wise to stand on their own.
