Steam version or ps4?
Hello Fire Pro community! I'm thinking about buying this and the dlc, but there seems to be quite the clusterf**k with save files and unable to select wrestlers.

As a new player should I get this on steam, ps4, or not at all?

Steam. Besides having a far, far better selection of workshop edits, it has mods that take the game to a whole better level.

Steam.

I'd be lying if I said the issues don't exist, but they're not common. People who experience them are simply vocal (and rightly so).

The PC Version will have longevity, with people continuing to play for years after.

Steam for the workshop alone; much better than the FPW.Net set-up.

depends on what you play on the most. pc or console. you cant go wrong with either. obviously people on STEAM are gonna tell you "steam" lol, theres an bias there, but ultimately its up to you and youll get a great experience either way.

the console version is gonna get preferential treatment so id lean towards the console version if i were you.

I love my PS4 version but I'd have to say pick the PC version for many reasons.

PC you can mod it.
PC is cheaper (even with the current dlc, NJPW, Yoshihiro Takayama DLC) not by that much, only a few dollars though.
PC has a better selection of created Wrestlers. They really need to let us import wrestlers from both versions with a USB or external hard drive.
PC They removed the DRM which means you can use the current DLC's offline.
PC You can use the steam link app to play fire pro on your phone. PS4 has a app too but it's only for their special phones, but you can play fire pro on psvita.

I can check if PS4 still has the DRM on it, I'm not sure, but PC would be the better option,

Now if your PC is a few years old and you have problems with games it would be wise to get the PS4 version you won't have to worry about all that. Just know what you're getting with the PS4 version. If you don't care about the workshop, mods, DRM, then both games are pretty much the same thing. Also PS4 has the game on disc if you're a collector.

Steam........The PS4 Download system is awful. Steam version has better edits, you can build edit with a KB, Mods (if you are into that), You can download collections. And you can play Steam from almost any PC.

The ps4 download system is same as the workshop. The only reason why it seems alien is because you have to grab edits off the pc and can't just grab them off the ps4. Steam has the workshoip in the client that's the only difference other then the ps4 has a max number of wrestlers you can download where I think the PC you can download into the thousands, other then that they the same thing and work the same way.

The other thing to think about is that the PS4 wrestler share system is entirely supported by Spike. This means they can close up shop in a year or two when the game no longer sells enoguh copies to offset the cost of keeping the servers up. The PC version has the backing of Steam...as long as Steam exists, the workshop will exist. On top of that, I have already developed tools that allow the sharing of wrestlers outside of the Workshop, so even if that was to close down, we'd still be able to share things.

The PC version really is the version with legs...the PS4 version will be all but abandoned in a year or two.

Where can I find these tools you're talking about?

There's absolutely no advantage in buying it for PS4 if you're able to buy it on Steam.

Nothing that people say will make me think the other way around. On PC you have modding, bigger community, Steam workshop... basically all the conveniences you don't have on PS4.

Thank you everyone for your replies! I'll try the steam version first, seems to be the more flexible option.

If my computer can't handle it for some reason i'll refund it and try the ps4 version.

Happy Holidays all! Maybe I'll see you in the ring :)
