No custom music option in PS4 version of Fire Pro Wrestling World!
So many people are running around saying, "it was announced, it was announced" but as of right now on PS4 there is no option for adding custom music.

#fakenews

EXCELSIOR!

There is no way that it was announced considering the PS4 doesn't allow custom music at all on any game.

It was indeed announced.

The issue isn't that Sony doesn't allow it, the issue is there's no native support for it. Anyone wishing to provide MP3 support would need to write their own players from the ground up, or license one that worked on the platform, as well as figure out how to deal with the issue of storing MP3s, of which there's already a few examples (Share Factory and multiple versions of MLB: The Show).

It shouldn't be that hard. You can make a music folder on USB flash drive and play your music while you play your games on PS4 (I do it all the time). You'll hear your music and the game's sound. So it can be done if spike wants to.

I see well it didn't seem possible 3 years ago when I had a PS4. I got rid of my PS4 about 6 months after buying it because I didn't and still feel that it isn't as good as the PS3. But that is just me.

Oh I know lol... we spoke all about it in another thread.

I got my PS4 in 2014, so it's been there at least since then.

Haha. Yes we did. I respect the PS4 and what it is capable of but it's not for me. If they make a Fire Pro Wrestling World custom PS4 with the game then I would probably buy it. But that would pretty much be the only way I would get another one.

Yep, I'm the same way with XBOX One. I have no intrest in it at all. And that's the beauty of gaming. We all have choice to play what games we want on what system we want. :steamhappy:

I have three games on my PS4 that have custom soundtrack support of some kind... One requires a USB drive to be hooked up to the PS4 at all times, the other two actually save your music onto the HDD.

The main things holding it back are likely a.) wanting to incentivize use of Spotify or other services for playing music on the console in the west, and b.) Microsoft refusing to add the same MP3 support onto Xbox One.

I had an Xbox One had custom music playing through almost all of my games. So I'm not sure what you are referencing when you say Microsoft refusing to add the same MP3 support. Especially seeing how Fire Pro Wrestling World isn't coming to Xbox One.

Haha.

Yes they announced it. But they announced it would be patched in later, not an out of the box feature. They still need to figue out how to do it, but they know it can be done.

Which games were these? The only ones I knew about on either console that could transfer music from USB and play in the game was the MLB: The Show series... I haven't heard of any playing directly from USB.

One of the Super Robot Wars game also allows for custom music, Zeokage.
