I just want more decent edit parts, not Japanese female wrestlers who I've never heard of. (I know many of you do know who they are, but I don't).
Any new fans who want to sample joshi and start with that company would probably think the whole scene is clumsy, childish, and semi-pornographic. I'll find it embarrassing to have this in my collection.
I think NJWP loos more pornographic to me with Suzuki Minoru only wearing underwear and boots, same with The rock from WWe and probably tons of other male wrestlers. Most girls in stardom wears pants (I cant find anyone who wears bikini). When male wears almost nothing but underwear then it's brave and stunning, when girls wears vest and pants it's pornographic lol. If you think Stardom wrestlers hit hard, you haven't seen much Japanese wrestling. Most strikes in that promotion wouldn't break through a wet paper bag.
Try Sendai Girls - Meiko Satomura, Chihiro Hashimoto, DASH Chisako, Syuri, Mika Iwata, etc. Those girls would knock your block off, they're all trained in various martial arts. They're the closest thing in the modern era you'll see to Akira Hokuto and Shinobu Kandori punching each other full force in the face at Dreamslam 1993.
If you want strong style, watch Sendai Girls. If you want comedy, watch Ice Ribbon. If you want hardcore, watch Oz Academy. If you want fast chain wrestling, watch SEAdLINNNG.
If you want bimbos, children, and useless foreigners wrestling badly, watch Stardom.
You watched a wrestler in Stardom and she didn't hit hard but you say Stardom wrestlers hit hard. Dude, what?
Riho was good in Gatoh Move, a company which you've probably never heard of because you're a casual fan of diva wrestling. Never seen her in Stardom but bad talent often drags down good talent.
She never tried to be a bad ass brawler. It would've been silly if she did - she's skinny and small. She was a technician, and a fine one. Check out some highlights here.
I'll leave the male porn to you but when Stardom raided WAVE, why did they steal Sumire Natsu? Natsu was the worst wrestler in the company. If they wanted good matches they'd have tried to poach Ryo Mizunami, Misaki Ohata, Rina Yamashita, or even Hiroe Nagahama (assuming Yumi Ohka wouldn't leave).
Sumire Natsu was a joke in WAVE. She was so bad she became a meme. Because she couldn't wrestle, the company updated their YouTube channel with videos of other things Sumire Natsu couldn't do: Sumire Natsu can't do judo, Sumire Natsu can't play basketball, Sumire Natsu can't lift weights, etc.
However, Sumire Natsu is also gorgeous. If you want somebody to sell photobooks or act as a hostess, that's your girl. If you want somebody whose attire is corsets and fishnets, that's your girl.
Ironically, WAVE's worst wrestler became one of Stardom's best wrestlers without even changing anything because the standard of matches in Stardom is so much lower than everywhere else. Really, if you watched other joshi promotions you'd know this, you wouldn't even be debating it, Stardom's in-ring style is abysmal.
It's also the only joshi promotion without a female wrestler as the boss. Sendai Girls has Meiko Satomura, Oz Academy has Mayumi Ozaki, SEAdLINNNG has Nanae Takahashi, Ice Ribbon has Tsukasa Fujimoto, Gatoh Move has Emi Sakura, DIANA has Kyoko Kimura, WAVE has Yumi Ohka, Marvelous has Chigusa Nagayo, Actwres girl'Z has Yumiko Hotta, Pure-J has Command Bolshoi, YMZ has Kaori Yoneyama, etc.
When Fuka Kakimoto and Nanae Takahashi were involved with running Stardom it was still crappy, but not the unmitigated disaster it is now. With those two gone, the only person left in-charge is Rossy Ogawa, the dirty old man of Japanese women's companies.
Ogawa is a pervert with a keen eye for underage girls and a massive foreigner fetish. Aja Kong sued him years ago because he falsely advertised her for shows he knew she wouldn't appear on. He's genuinely the most scummy human being in all of wrestling. The only reason Stardom still has wrestling at all is to sell junk merchandise to people who then go home to watch hentai. Makes me want to vomit.
Boy do you even know who Minoru Suzuki is aside from that blurb? Suzuki is an MMA legend. He's basically the God of Pancrase. The man is one of the most legitimate athletes on this planet, not simply just one of the most legitimate pro wrestlers on the planet. Suzuki is a shoot wrestler trained by Karl Gotch. Puroresu itself exists mostly thanks to Gotch. Ken Shamrock said that Minoru Suzuki's offense was perfect except for his striking, noting that it was not something Suzuki ever developed.
As for his ring attire it's classic wrestling attire. Not just puroresu but pro wrestling at all traditionally had this type of trunk and boot combination. Having an old school background and being Japanese Suzuki is huge on tradition. Which is why he brutalizes the young boys. Funny enough the young boys are only allowed to wear traditional wrestling gear (trunks and boots) and any addition to them (knee or armpads, or different gear at all) is viewed as a sign of rank/progress. Some wrestlers intentionally wear traditional wrestling gear as part of their gimmick. Suzuki is a no nonsense old school bad ass, so of course he's going to look the part as well.
I like how Erobotan has seen Minoru Suzuki but Stardom is the "first wrestling that looks real" to him.

If your first response to your first Minoru Suzuki match isn't either "SUZUKI ICHIBAN" or "KAZE NI NARE" you are a plebeian with no soul.
You can like whatever promotion you want without having to tear down another. The more places wrestlers can work, the better.

I don't see the problem with natsu's wrestling, she looks realistic and she is also good comedian. Also her costume is not as revealing as suzuki minoru, she basically wears a one piece swimsuit + vest sometimes. If you call that porn then i wonder what's your reaction when you go the beach lol

Stardom dojo doesn't even produce the best female wrestlers in Japan. Ice Ribbon is light years ahead of them.
Every Ice Ribbon rookie is instilled with a creativity that is utterly lacking in Stardom, even in most Stardom main eventers. There's a level of charisma and fun in wrestling that Stardom doesn't understand. If you watch Ice Ribbon matches you'll see it, whereas Stardom matches are bland and heavily influenced by the west.
Stardom's trainers used to be Nanae Takahashi (who now hates the company more than I do) and Fuka Kakimoto. Nanae's best girl was Yoshiko, who also hates Stardom and left. She greatly improved after she started working in other companies.
Fuka remained as the other trainer. How do you expect Fuka to teach people wrestling when she was never good at it herself? According to Kris Wolf, one of the exercises Fuka had trainees do was wear boxing gloves and punch a bag until they're exhausted. According to Kelly Klein, she participated in 10 kilometer runs with other Stardom girls. These are EXACTLY the kind of stupid boot camp and endurance drills that WWE forces their Florida students to do. It teaches people nothing about wrestling.
Fuka is arguably more famous for her participation in shootboxing, in which she had some rigged matches, some real ones, and once lost to Oz Academy wrestler Syuri.
During her time in Stardom, Fuka wasn't just the trainer and general manager, she was the archetype - for people who don't know her, type her name into Google and look at the images. She was trained to wrestle by JDStar because she was pretty, got booked in wrestling and shootfighting because she was pretty, and then trained a new generation of pretty wrestlers.

If you disagree with me, tell me about all the classic matches she had. I think that list will be small to the point of nonexistence.
I think part of the problem that to western fans, joshi still has the connotation of AJW in the 90s. While it was almost exclusively popular among female fans in the 70s-80s, in the 90s due to the combination of Atsushi Onita using Megumi Kudo, Combat Toyoda, Shark Tsuchiya et all on his heavily-male FMW shows and an exceptional cast of Manami Toyota, Aja Kong, Mayumi Ozaki, Akira Hokuto, Dynamite Kansai, Bull Nakano, Chigusa Nagayo, Shinobu Kandori, etc, joshi gained popularity among male fans too.
The connection in people's minds between "joshi" and the legends listed above leads them to the mistaken conclusion that all joshi is somehow respectable. It isn't.
Stardom is a joke, and the reason you can't see that is because you have people around you encouraging you to think otherwise. People like Dave Meltzer, who don't even watch it. He's seen a couple matches for sure but nothing from rival promotions so he has nothing to compare it to, and he hasn't watched joshi regularly since the mid-90s. He's a UFC-WWE-AEW-PWG nerd now and bluffs about everything else. His opinions on modern joshi are not educated ones.
When you think for yourselves you'll realise Stardom is the The Emperor's New Clothes - it's actually not cool or technically impressive, it's creepy and embarrassing. I can't help but look at Stardom fans like they're grown men who collect My Little Pony toys and don't even realise how bizarre they look.
Stardom wrestlers are good but wrestlers who wrestle in Stardom are bad. Got it.
Stardom has more western wrestlers on the roster than any other joshi promotion. It is disproportionately popular among western fans.
The puro starter pack for jaded WWE obsessives in the west is a subscription to New Japan and Stardom. If you're saying the industry would be better without those people, I'd be inclined to agree with you.
